As you can tell, over time, there's been some in this topic who have 'played' along by adding several bits of important information to the case. I wanted to thank them for giving our newspaper staff several juicy tidbits...

A full day later, and we've finally sorted out who's Juror #6 and who's Juror #9....

Now maybe we can proceed with the actual case regarding SgtCity....

So I see we've broken the 2 million mark at some point

(and my percentage is down to 13.5%. Yo, if i make 15% i get a free drink!!)

And in other news, three of the jurors have decided it's time to throw paper airplanes around, and one dude is just throwing a crumpled up ball, cause, and I quote "It's gonna get crumpled up anyway. Might as well eliminate the middle man" 🤦‍♂️

I'm now wondering if the Judge might be able to drop the SgtCity trial to focus on this nonsense...

I don't think so... I've heard the judge is getting a bit annoyed with all the distractions...

so far, we've had one juror end up with a bloody nose from getting hit in the face by a paper airplane

2 are asleep (one on the table, and the other on the floor)

1 dude's doing a crossword puzzle

5, for whatever reason, have decided to try and play basket ball with the shoe of one of the guy's who's asleep (dunno which one)

there's a shattered snowglobe in the bottom of the trash can (guess what they started of with)

and the other 3 are making bets, and I'm pretty sure they're using Monopoly money, but I just don't know at this point....

oh, and there's random crumpled up and folded pieces of paper everywhere, and I'm pretty sure a handful of it is the notes we're all supposed to be debating over 😒

It's taken a while, but I've done it.  Back at a 20% of bulbs broken:

My previous max share was ~23%, if I recall.  I wonder if getting back there and then getting to 25% is doable...?

possibly, but expect a serious grind getting there. Had that a few days ago just trying to go up from 10 to 11%.

I wouldn't mind making it to 20% myself, but i know that'll take a while for sure,

Aye, but for now I'm building up a bit of a buffer so I don't lose too much ground whilst I'm away from the site.  In the meantime, just breaking bulbs whenever one sees them will gradually add up.

Ladies, Gentlemen, distinguished non-binary individuals, and honoured llamas, I have an announcement to make.

But first, some interesting, satisfying, and semi-satisfying numbers I observed along the way:

Guess who's just broken (over) half-a-million bulbs?  Yes, that's right, ME!

Additionally, the Shattermore Novelty Lights Company Inc. Ltd. ™ have honoured me with a portrait & plaque, visible in one of the directors' lounges at their corporate HQ (though I'm unsure which one, there're at least 12 of them in the building, and those are just the ones I've seen...).

This one's a two-fer:

I've not only broken >600k, I have also managed to claw my way back up to 23%. 

Now, you're no doubt wondering "How?!?!", to which my answer is:

1. There're certain tactics that I must keep close to my chest, lest I inadvertantly aid one of my rivals in overtaking me 

2. It also kind of requires a certain obsessive mindset, which is something that can neither be learned nor taught (not mention having too much time on one's hand as of present)

 

Anyway, I've also been informed that the Shattermore Novelty Lights Company Inc. Ltd. ™ have been sponsoring a lobbying drive aimed at various city, state, and national level politicians.  Not sure exactly what they've been aiming for, but I understand that they've managed to get most of the city councillors, state legislators, & M.P.s^* in attendance to sign on to their proposals...

Hmm, I wouldn't worry too much about Shattermore.  After all, a company with that much cash at their disposal will in addition to ~80% of the nation's politicians, is going to have the nation's best lawyers working for them.  I predict that the worst that'll happen to Shattermore is that they get slapped with a fine that, whilst a king's ransom to you & I, is mere pocket change to them...

And no, I'm not affiliated with Shattermore Novelty Lights Company Inc. Ltd.™ Just an aficionado of breaking Christmas bulbs (and no, not from real-life experience, although I've had several bulbs and strands of lights die on me before!).

Also, we're close to THREE MILLION bulbs broken. As of typing this, there's less than five hours to go.

Will we reach 3,000,000 bulbs broken before the timer runs out? Will it be close? What will happen when the timer runs out? Will we ever know the truth about Shattermore Novelty Lights Company Inc. Ltd.™? Is CloneBoom really Cyclone Boom's evil twin? Will CaptCity or SgtCity flee for the hills? Will I raid the snack machine?

I was initial going to post a snapshot of the moment I hit 25% of the global total, but then I looked at my raw personal total and decided to press on to three-quarters of a million.
