Adding Pictures to a Club Album

i was not able to post a screenshot in the club images section. i tried 3 or 4 times, and cleared/rebooted my browser in between. the 2Mb limit thing, one image was 137Kb and one was 1.56Mb, so even together they were less than 2Mb. is this a permission thing, that i do not have? or a site error? i.e. should i try again later, or not try, because i'm not allowed...

I think only the club owner which is kid and also myself and abandoned as moderators of the club can add albums .... will go and take a look and set up one for players to add screenshots

oh that's not necessary, i might be able to post in "topics" i'f you'd rather have "images" reserved just for mod albums?

i just want to get started on a seed that was inspired by the 'some boats' mod kid just posted here, and was going to show all my boaty goodness, lol

Note: Album moved to city-builders club as per comment from kid1293 that a new album has to be set up by the person who wants to add pictures to it

hmm, it remembered and restored my description text, but still does not let my add the 137Kb .jpg

don't fuss over it. i may try over at "topics" later, or just drop it. thank you for trying!  i was just now trying to add to the album you created called 'favorite banished pictures' i was not trying again to create a brand new album.

hmmm ..... you might need to clear previous content and start again, but a topic might be easier if you want to add information about the pictures

Ok have added a picture and its a bit fiddly adding pictures so will add some information later on added pictures to albums ....

In Images, you have to start a new album for your own pictures. I was unable to upload to the album @catty-cb created, but I could create a new album.

When you have your pictures uploaded, you can link them from anywhere (Topics, Modding, Questions)

@CityBuilderPie I came back to do some screenshots and has a much closer look at this picture, the files you are attaching are part of the album description which is why its refusing to let you upload them, I'm maybe guessing you could have one as part of the overall album setup, but this isn't where you upload the pictures in an album, underneath that is three tabs for setting your album ownership, privacy and album features ... on the plus side if you just set up a album called CityBuilderPie's Pictures you would only have to do this once

Once you create your album or selected the album you want to add more pictures to (one you have previously created), you then get this screen, in step three you get the chance to make any changes to the pictures titles, etc and step four is adding on things like copyright information

Once you have an album then its just a case of coming back, selecting that album and then clicking on the "Use Selected Album" and that gives you step two again

PS: Have changed the topic name to "Adding Pictures to a Club Album"

i was going at it wrong.

i thought album creation was all one process, i.e. name the album; write a description for it; add images to it, and then hit the "create album" button. to be fair, the directions have a section with the words "drag files here to attach" immediately following the section that says "add a description here."

but it's not all one process. first you select create an album, give it a name, add a description, then you hit create album. after the site creates the album, then i can add images.

so, at the album creation part, what is the "drag files here" thing for? maybe for making like a cover icon/image? not that i'd ever need that for just sharing screenshots from my latest fun seed, but i still could not do that...

seriously you guys thanks for all the help. nothing like banished players for persistence and generosity.

I've no idea, there maybe something over at the site's software company that explains what you would use it for, but as it doesn't appear to be needed when setting up an album I wouldn't worry about it
