What software do you use to create your models

I think I asked this once before but I can't find the topic.

What software do you use to create your models?  GMAX, Auto-desk, or some other 3D rendering software?

What is bat4max tool?  Is it an add on for GMAX or some other software package?

I have GMAX but I haven't used it in years and it's so hard to find a registration code for it.

No beauty shines brighter than that of a good heart.

gMax is essentially a cut-down version of 3DS Max (both by what is now Autodesk). BAT4Max is a set of Maxis scripts for use with gMax, together you can make models for SC4.

Use of 3DS Max is optional, but none of the currently available versions can be used to make SC4 models, you'd need 2017 or earlier to be sure and you can't rent them. As for registering gMax, you can no longer do this officially either, but fixing that is little more than a registry hack, thankfully, or the community would be well and truly buggered.
