Help with SC4 Terraformer

Hi.  I was wondering first off how Cori is doing?  Lately I had absolutely no free time and Im just doing a quick drop in since I haven't been on the forums at all the past few weeks. And do we know what happened to her?  Last I heard all we knew was that she was in the hospital and... not doing well.

Also while I'm here, does anyone still use SC4 Teraformer?  I'm talking about the regional teraformer in the sreenshot, not the In-game vanilla version.  I finally got it working after getting all the .dlls in the right place and now it works for some regions but not others and I can't figure out what the difference is.  I was wondering if there was any well known no-no's that the app doesn't like, like certain neighbooring connections or certain mods.  Thanks!

I have it on good authority she's doing better and has returned to Simtropolis.

We'll need a wee bit more to go on. It's perfect sometimes? Other times your computer smokes and explodes?

My first thought is what tripped me up for a long time: If you have your region view set to Transportation View and then open a newly rendered Mapper region, all the tiles which are water only will show up as square holes. Is this what you've experienced when it doesn't work? And if so, just switch to Satellite View and all will be well (other than Mappper's funny colors).

I never really experienced Terraformer not to work with a region.

You need to pay attention, though, to the second dialogue which appears after you run the program (after you choose the region). It is there when you tell the program which tiles should be protected from edits. These tiles, when checked, will always revert to pre-load defaults, even if you run a mountain through them.

What is more, one is completely free to edit tiles with towns already existing in them (sometimes to a farcical effect) and make cross-border edits.
