    December 2060

Lucia Comestibles opened is doors for the first customers 65 years ago. At the time the only logical choice for the daily needs of all the families living in or near Lucia Village. When Cepero Department Store opened in February 2016, Lucia Comestibles naturally lost a lot of clients and ever since the business has struggled to survive. The current owner, 65 years old Rafael Sánchez, gave up and just started the final sales. The building is up for sale from February 2061.

Political commentator Alexandra Hernández from Bounty FM:

Financially another great year, with a strong export and a growing tourist sector, although the latter is still a rather small contribution to the Islands total GNP. A rather interesting electronic deal, Nvidia ElTioBit signed with Brazil, is expected to further strengthen the electronic sector, in the near future. The only downside in the report is that we had another year, where the number of births could not replace the number of people dying. Even with a growing immigration the population slightly declined over the latest year.

Short 2060 Report from State Statistics Department:

Top 3 Industrial Export: Electronics 38.048 coins, Cigars 30.473 coins, Interior Design 25.455 coins

Top 3 Raw Export: Meat 20.150 coins, Nickel 11.959 coins, Sugar 7.588 coins.

Tourist Industry: Accommodation 35.436 coins, Other Tourist Consumption: 9.609 coins

    Yearly balance (1): 43.680 coins.

    Payment to Venezuela: 10.500 coins

    Yearly balance (2): 33.180 coins.

Births Rate: 2,62%. Immigration Rate: 0,89%. Death Rate 3,66%. Emigration Rate: 0,00 %. Disappeared: 0,00%

    Unemployed: 2,60%, Job Vacancy 0,78%, Homeless: 0,35%

This year, it will be 100 years since the third bus line opened in what was then Bounty City. At the time the only line entirely traveling inside the city. The first two lines both connected to Cepero Island. Bus Line C started at Shack Village, driving past the Parliament Building through Maria Ruiz Road, to the final stop on Connection Passway, located between R. Johnson WorkWare and President Smirnov’s School. The route existed for 66 years until Roux Monument Metro Station was built in 2027 and the entire public transport network was restructured.

    Alicja Ahmed, February 2061

Alicja Ahmed was born in Leningrad 1985, growing up in a poor family, in the chaos of post-soviet. From her early teens she prostituted herself to survive. 17-year-old she followed a diplomat on his journey to Bounty Island, and never returned to Russia. She got involved with gangsters from Loyal to Familia and met Kaamran Ahmed. She got pregnant and they married in 2019. Having two sons in the 2020’s, Talal and Zakaria. During this period Alicja was involved in the Familia’s operations in Fungus Town. Zakaria died from a tropical fever, in 2031. Later in the 2030’s Alicja was transferred from the Familia’s involvement in Fungus Town, to road smuggling operations. Kaamran was now a leading figure in the Familia. The family moved to a beautiful penthouse apartment at President Purple Villa. In 2050 Kaamran decided to relocate the family to what he thought would be a safer area. Buying a house at the quieter Cattle Road East. In 2052 Kaamran Ahmed was killed by police gunshots, during an arrest attempt. After Kaamran Ahmed was killed, Alicja Ahmed became one of the top leaders in Loyal to Familia’s criminal network, responsible for the Cattle Road District. She moved back to the penthouse apartment at President Purple Villa. Where she lives with her butler and security guard Paul Mercier. Now 76 years old, she is no longer directly involved with day-to-day operations, but she is still the official leader and mastermind behind the Cattle Road branch of Loyal to Familia.

Due to Professor Javier Gutiérrez’s reforestation project, using rare tree species, he found in Brazil. The South Jungle at Cepero Island is now filled with full-grown trees, greener and fuller than before the colonization of the Island. Reforestation have been quite expensive, but now HIQUEA Ltd South have been allowed to build another logging camp at Sullivan Ring Road. Logs, planks, and furniture build with natural wood, is sought after on the world market, so the investment is about to pay off.

Radio South R2 News, presented by Adrián Ramos:

The largest slot jackpot of all time at Bounty Island, 3000 coins at Casino Presidentiale, was won by Lieutenant Colonel Mariano López from the Defense Head Quarters. According to Mariano, he had played for a few hours, spending around a quarter of a coin, when the machine hit the triple bars. Mariano López is 35 years old of Spanish heritage. He lives in the new mansion at Plain Village, with his wife and daughter. The jackpot corresponds to 3 years salary for the already well-paid officer.

    The Venezuelan Families, July 2061

Not Many Venezuelan families was left on Antonia del Toro Island. All living in neglected low-level tenement with poor sanitary conditions. Walls and roof made of cheap wood, metal, or tiles. Build around a structure of simple wooden beams. Toilets and bath shared amongst several families. Mostly older people, not able or willing to leave. A few younger Venezuelans, also lived in the remote neglected community. We will take a look at some of them.

    6UsE3oh.jpeg

Eleazar Contreras leads the cooperative Cattle Ranch, the cattle have been an important source of protein, supplying meat and milk to the Venezuelan community. Eleazar is 25 years old, born in Caracas November 2035. Eleazar and his girlfriend Dionisia Contreras both grew up in The Petare. One of the poorest slums in South America. Dionisia Contreras was born in December 2038. Dionisia is part of Minister of Internal Affairs Myrthe Sullivan’s “Venezuelan Program”, she receives a paid education.

Marjorie de Sousa is 19 years old. Born July 2043 on the Island. Descendant of one of the wealthier families. When Bounty Island took over Antonia del Toro, her parents moved to Puerto La Cruz, the city of her grandparents. She decides to stay. Trying to keep the family corn plantation alive, with the help of her friends and neighbours.

Amelia Nunez is a 21 years old Venezuelan girl from Barquisimeto. She got a degree in Anthropology from Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado. She came to Antonia del Toro about a year ago, interested in studying the sociocultural anthropology of the Island, before it is lost to the influence of the much more modern Bounty society.

After Bounty Islands bought Antonia Island, new Venezuelans who wish to come to Antonia del Toro, will need a visa and work permit like every other immigrant.

The ISC office have now moved into the new building at Antonia del Toro Island. The plan laid out by Minister of Internal Affairs Myrthe Sullivan is as follows: First build the necessary social infrastructure, in the form of a government owned market and health clinic, to sustain the existing inhabitants as well as newcomers. Next step clearing out some of the older houses and build a new more modern village. Then build transport infrastructure. When all that is cleared, Nvidia and other private entrepreneurs can build their factories, mines, plantations etc. At that point the clinic and marked can also be sold off to private owners. Freeing up fonds for education, police force, rescue, and similar official tasks.

The old Cepero Hospital, located at Arthur M Leroy’s Road, was worm out, in need for a thorough renovation and modernization. But the old hospital was located a bit to close to the noisy and polluted Industrial Zone. The Cepero authorities bought Lucia Comestibles. Aiming to construct a brand-new building. Staff and equipment were transferred in November and the new “Hospital Región Lucia” opened in the first week of December. The old Cepero Hospital will be demolished in the coming weeks.

Political commentator Alexandra Hernández from Bounty FM:

A record high year for the government of Bounty Islands. With a total surplus of stunning 91.978 coins. Especially interior design and meat export, had a brilliant year. The social political statistics more mixed, although the deathrate still exceeds the birthrate there was some improvement. But both unemployment and vacant jobs increased, implicating an unbalanced workforce with a skillset that do not match in job market well. Likely due to an increased number of young immigrants, with neither education nor experience. The number of homeless families is growing, but still relatively low.

Short 2061 Report from State Statistics Department:

Top 3 Industrial Export: Interior Design 35.719 coins, Firearms 21.279 coins, Rum 19.992 coins.

Top 3 Raw Export: Meat 28.559 coins, Sugar 11.957 coins, Uranium 10.859 coins.

Tourist Industry: Accommodation 44.880 coins, Other Tourist Consumption: 16.689 coins

    Yearly balance (1): 91.978 coins.

    Payment to Venezuela: 10.500 coins

    Yearly balance (2): 81.478 coins.

Births Rate: 2,32%. Immigration Rate: 0,84%. Death Rate 2,81%. Emigration Rate: 0,00 %. Disappeared: 0,00%

    Unemployed: 3,25%, Job Vacancy 2,48%, Homeless: 0,58%

This year, it will be 100 years since the formation of M. Leroy JV, and the construction of M. Leroy Steel JV. The main shareholders behind the company were originally The Schubert Family, R. Johnson Holdings, the Department of Political Science and Arthur’s private estate. Today the company also runs a nickel mine and firearms factory, both located in Miner’s Town. The current steel plant dates from 2053, where the plant was extended and an CO2 recycling system introduced.

    November 2062

In a press meeting, held by the board of Sullivan Oil Friday 3rd. Ronnie Sullivan, his wife Cristina Sullivan and their daughter Vera Sullivan, proclaimed that although the board would remain unchanged, Vera Sullivan would now be the official face of the company, as the parents would redraw from day-to-day leadership. The now 76 years old former chairman Ronnie Sullivan stated that his final decision before handing over the “chair” was to demolish the old Sullivan Oil Headquarters and replace it with a larger more solid building. The new building will be headquarters of the Oil Company as well as headquarters of political party “The Bounty Conservative”. Immediately some leaders from rival parties, attacked minister and conservative leader Stefan Klein for this close relation with a large private organization.

    January 2063

Political commentator Alexandra Hernández from Bounty FM:

Although not as strong as 2061, 2062 was financially another good year for Bounty Islands. This time it was some of the old traditional products driving the result. 70 ton of Cigars was exported, and the last few years prices have been quite good. 5.060 pcs. of Jewelry left the ports.

The new daycare system had a significant effect. This year the birth rate, for the first time in decades, outperformed the deathrate. Immigration was also rather high, all in all resulting in population growth. Unemployed and job vacancy, more or less the same, but the number of homeless families grew. We must hope the government and private sector, will be able to adjust the housing market accordingly.

Short 2062 Report from State Statistics Department:

Top 3 Industrial Export: Cigars 30.541 coins, Jewelry 23.068 coins, Firearms 20.635 coins.

Top 3 Raw Export: Uranium 11.527 coins. Gold 8.121 coins, Meat 8.012 coins,

Tourist Industry: Accommodation 38.902 coins, Other Tourist Consumption: 16.685 coins

    Yearly balance (1): 41.511 coins.

     Payment to Venezuela: 10.500 coins

    Yearly balance (2): 31.011 coins.

Births Rate: 3,73%. Immigration Rate: 1,16%. Death Rate 3,10%. Emigration Rate: 0,05 %. Disappeared: 0,00%

    Unemployed: 3,22%, Job Vacancy 2,53%, Homeless: 2,18%

This year, it will be 100 years since Giulia Johnson the owner of R. Johnson WorkWear, married Jack Page and adopted his daughter and grandchild. Anisette and her son José. Securing heirs to the family business. Both Anisette and José took the name Johnson, in line with family traditions.

    Charles Johnson Family, January 2063

Charles was born June 2021, at South Cepero Road in Miners Village. At the time a rural location, only disturbed by traffic to and from D’Angelo Bridge. Charles Johnson, is son of single mother Moria Johnson, a hard-working businesswoman, she was the general manager of R. Johnson Furniture, from the day he was born. Three years old, his mother became the chairman of the board of R Johnson Holdings. Now the family lived in pure luxury, at a large apartment in Lucia Village, but he got little care and attention from his mother, raised by various nannies. Charles took a degree from President Williams School and started political economy studies at Bounty University in 2035, but dropped out in 2037. In 2045, Charles and his girl Verónica, left the large house his mother had bought in 2038. Moving into a cheap apartment in The Sailors Homes. At this point Charles was a professional Jazz drummer, with some success. Charles formed his own avantgarde Jazz Band “Knarf Appaz” in the late 40’s. Artistically the direction he wanted, but he had to take part time work, to make ends meet. Verónica got a full-time occupation at Fenna Chapel Museum. The couple moved to a slightly better apartment Old Banana Road in Plateau Village. Charles’ mother Moria died in 2052. Their daughter Smilla was born in July 2055 in the apartment at Old Banana Road. The family moved, first to a 65 square meter apartment at Inner City Complex and then to a 70 square meter apartment at CRR Complex in 2058. Verónica got pregnant again and gave birth to their 2nd daughter Andora, in December 2059. After Andora was born the family moved again, this time to a 135 square meter apartment at Moria TowerA residential building, named after his mother. Charles band “Knarf Appaz” still records an album every 3rd or 4th year and although they are not commercial in a mainstream sense of the word, they are frequently played at Bounty FM’s Sunday’s Jazz. They sometimes play at jazz festivals around the world. Their latest gig on Bounty Islands was a free concert at Ruben Ruiz Memorial in August. The music is a minor part of the family’s income. Most bills are paid from Verónica’s salary at Fenna Chapel Museum and Charles shifting parttime jobs. Currently he is working 20 hours a week at S/L New Village. Smilla is a pupil at President Williams School.
