Mayor Names Missing

Hello SC4 Peeps,

Silly question here - Some of my cities don't have the Mayor Name's appearing. This region is the tutorial region, so I'm wondering if it's related to some bug or something.

Any help / insight on how to fix it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi @ASV7900

Perhaps you might've used a non-breaking space (Alt+0160) for the mayor name of those cities.

To change the mayor name, open the cheat box using the Ctrl+X keys. Then type in the following and press the Enter key.

HelloMyNameIs <Name>

Where <Name> is what to call yourself for each individual city.

Note that to use spaces for names with this command (and also the WhereRUFrom <Name> for a city name), enclose quotes around it.

For example, if I wanted to name cities using my username, I'd run the command:

HelloMyNameIs "Cyclone Boom"

 

Once saving each tile after running the command, hopefully this might help restore the names on those tiles without them.

@Cyclone Boom - Tried that, but it's not working either.
