OBS incompatible with SC4?

I dont know why but when i am recording with obs my mouse doesn't show up in sc4 and when i am not it does please help

Did you try all possible display options?

And by display options I mean, "Windowed", "Borderless" and "Full Screen". You'll need SC4 Launcher to access them easily. Perhaps this will help...?

Hmm, I believe you can use arguments like -w for windowed (you write them in the .exe shortcut) but I have never used them for this specific purpose. 

Did any of the launcher options help?

I believe the problem is DirectX (or recording in DirectX), the mouse/cursor is no longer functioning through the same system as it does on the desktop, ergo OBS doesn't recognise it. This may be a setting you need to change in the Apps options, but it could well be simply an unsupported function. I actually use OBS myself (although not for in-game videos), I'll try and look into things later, if nothing else I should be able to confirm whether or not this is even possible.

hey @rsc204 and the @TheMurderousCricket the windowed options helped in the sc4 launcher BUT i want to tell u a twist (and sorry for the late reply) while recording obs records it but i can't see it but when i see the playback the mouse is there and also the windowed mode is really ummm irritating me it's glitches the taskbar like when i click in sc4 the taskbar disappears and when i don't it doesn't so please help

and also this problem wasn't there before i recently formatted my pc because it got corrupted unfortunately so before that it wasn't there and i installed the launcher in my sc4 install directory

 

also is dps a problem maybe

OK so i figured it out (YAY!) I reinstalled sc4 and when installing NAM (which i was scared was the root of problems) i applied the 4 GB patch first and then installed NAM which fixed all the problems if anyone has the same problems i think most likely this is the answer
