Help with connecting road under bridge

Hey guys. Is there anyone who knows a way how I can connect these underpassing roads? The FLUP network under avenue piece does not work here, which I guess happens because it's not a regular avenue but a bridge. Is there any other way this can work?

Try using the under terain pieces.

You may have to do the FLUP first then build the bridge.

Not without a custom mod, Bridges are a special network type and you can not build anything under them. But this will do what you want:

However, using special overhanging pieces, you can at least make the connection functional, but this relies on much trickery (switching cars to subway and back) to make it work. Visually, you won't see cars using these roads normally either, but otherwise you can add them and they do function.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

The latest versions of the Network Addon Mod have added an assortment of viaduct-styled bridges which connect to elevated viaduct variants of certain networks.

As of NAM 43, this includes the following networks:

  • Surface roads: road and one-way (L1/7.5m and L2/15.0m elevations)
  • RealHighway: MIS, RHW-2, RHW-3, RHW-4 and RHW-6S (L1 and L2)
  • Rail: only some L2 bridges, but we did add on-slope and ramp-style height transitions to connect rail lines going from L1 and L2, providing considerable flexibility when placing RealRailway viaducts to allow networks crossing next to bridges.

Below are the NAM 43 viaduct-style bridges we added (NAM 43 testing screenshot, my apologies for showing them with visible network paths):

Here's a gameplay example using the RHW-6S L1 viaduct-styled bridge, notice how the avenue goes under the RHW-6S, which then seamlessly continues across the river.

With the upcoming NAM 44, we'll be adding support for these configurations to the following networks:

  • Surface roads: avenue (L1 and L2 elevations)
  • RealHighway: RHW-8S and RHW-10S (L1 and L2)
  • Rail: full set of single track and double track RRW at their currently supported elevations (L1 for single track, L1 and L2 for double track).

These are the viaduct-styled rail bridges we're adding to NAM 44, they're the latest, but not only, available option beneficial to placing network crossings below the bridge approaches.

We're also adding similar bridges to the Avenue (AVE-4), RHW-8S and RHW-10S, they also support connections to matching elevated networks to allow other networks to go below the bridge approaches.

Keep in mind these are viaduct-styled bridges, so these are bridges with a simple appearance. It'll take us longer to do something similar for bridges with elaborate appearances, such as suspension, cable-stay, large arches, and large truss bridges. These, however, may happen, as we're ramping up considerably our bridge-creation capabilities in the team. For elaborate bridges, the current options available include the overhanging bridge undercrossing lots @rsc204 presented earlier; or alternatively, forming a short tunnel through an embankment where the bridge connects, like in the example shown below:

Another, simpler option is to build a tunnel under the area the brigde is passing over. It would look somewhat similar to what you are trying to do with FLUPs, but with a conventional tunnel.

Thank you all for your answers. They were very useful. The mod seems to work fine (it opens a lot of opportunities, so thank you for that), but I will also look into the other suggestions of how to do it.
