There are a few BATs I've downloaded that I like; however, they are W2W residential lots that are growing in low density zoning. I want to change the lots so that it only grows in medium and high density zones.

I've tried doing some research on this and found this thread, which says it is possible to change the numbers using the Reader program. However, I am still not understanding exactly how to change the density. It looks like this can be done by tweaking numbers, but my understanding is that this category is for changing the stage rather than changing the density that the building grows in. This isn't really what I'm looking for, as I don't want the building to grow in low density stages at all, only medium/high ones. Can this be done in Reader or PIM-X? I'm pretty new to editing existing lots, so I appreciate any advice you can give me!

Your doubts are right, this seems to be about changing the growth stage. Fortunately, there's a way to change the zoning, simply by altering the LotConfigPropertyZoneTypes property. The numbers there represent the type of zones used in-game. I believe Reader displays which type of zone is represented by which number at the very bottom of the right screen panel.

So, if you want to restrict a building to only grow on MD and HD residential zones, you need to right-click on the LotConfigPropertyZoneTypes property and choose "Edit". A new window will pop up, which will most likely look like this:

ZoneTypes.jpg.533f1dd36fc6500426d21cdeb57b4efe.jpg

This means that this lot will grow on zone types 1, 2, and 3, which are low, medium, and high density residential zones, respectively. To remove the low density zones, you just need to highlight the 0x01 as displayed above, click on "Remove", and click on the lower "Apply".

Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for. I will test this out and see how it works in-game.
