Help, I am tired of installing all kinds of mods, mainly accessories and when I enter the game they do not appear! And some mods that I have, in their description it says that they do not need dependencies and they still do not appear to me! What do I do?

I do not know if it has to see the version of the game! I have SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition, but I don't know what version I have !!

I run it from the launcher and the mods appear crossed out, I don't know if it has to see the version of the game !!

Hiya, @TheDavid20.

We need to figure out why your posts look like this:

7010-9553.jpg

The first time it happened, @Cyclone Boom fixed the formatting. However, we do not intend to continue that so you'll need to use the post editor properly to present your questions. *;)

The main problem I see right now is after a very nice reply from @CaptCity in your first topic, you did not reply there, but are posting a similar, very vague request here. Ofc, it could be a language difference and you are using a translator and then pasting that in. Please reply in a way to make us understand you are a legitimate SC4 player and from there we'll be willing to offer more help.

Assuming your post is a real issue, see this topic: Index of Useful SC4 Resources - Look Here First

Then if there is something specific you don't understand, feel free to ask about it.

Excuse me, I'm new to mod installation in SimCity 4, I don't speak English and I used a translator to ask my questions or communicate.

My problem is that when I install the mods they don't appear in the game, some of the mods I have installed don't need Dependencies. I run the game from the launcher, I have SimCity 4 Deluxe 1.1.641.0. The mods appear crossed out in the launcher but being in the game they do not appear, mainly the accessories!

    Spoiler

Thanks for letting us know. *:)

This is good news because I now understand the difficulty is due to language. While you are welcome to post here, I believe you may find this club more comfortable so you can speak your native language:

I think I might be having the same issue as this original post, I saved my plugins and reinstalled the game but one of the custom lots I made was not appearing in game, even when using the Maxis blocker, in fact almost no lots at all were building from the plugins I restored. I used the Extra Cheats menu to find the lot was in the game files but it would not build at all.

It also doesn't seem like Steam really uninstalls the game since I had to manually delete the custom files from the Steam plugin folder even after reinstalling. Is there a certain mod or plugin I missed reinstalling for custom lots? It's been ages since I have reinstalled everything so I don't know where to start, last time I did this was on Windows Vista...

Putting the custom lots (along with any dependencies) in Plugins should be all that's necessary.

As a quick test, you could rename your Plugins folder to something else (like Plugins - Main Hold or such), create a new empty Plugins folder, and then install our Cori's Castle - Addon Lots Pack (along with CastleSet.Dat linked in the description under Dependencies), start a new city tile and just grow farms and residential.

The reason I suggest this is simply to check that custom content will grow. These are Stage 1 so there's no need to have the exact right conditions or other development. (It could be the CC you are not seeing are higher stage levels.)

Yeah the lots I did not seem to appear regardless of what stage they were (I was using this residential pack https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2822) and nothing was showing up, seems like I deleted something from my plugins folder when I was cleaning it up that caused this. I had to reinstall the plugins from my external HD to fix it again, so the lesson here is backup your work frequently...

So, is to say you have resolved the issue? (And I presume the test above worked to show CC will appear.)

Yep, I'm good now, just need to use more discretion when tidying up the landfill of a plugin folder I have in future...

@CorinaMarie @Rott I'm just kind of curious about this and could do nothing now.* This Pack seemed ok after I put it into a clean Plugins folder.

And also nothing special in Reader (Occupant Group, Grow stage, etc), Only this:

It seems as they couldn't grow at too steep slope. Maybe relevant to the value of MaxSlopeAllowed.

Besides, Just a wild guess, Dear @Rott, Have you installed CAM? (I have none experience of it, but CB has taught me some theory before) Anyway, Glad to hear that you have solved this issue.*:thumb:

I've actually not used the CAM yet, I was trying to upgrade to the latest NAM and decided my plugin folder was way too messy, when deleting files I must have deleted something essential that was not being removed when reinstalling the game from Steam. Steam seems to keep plugins even after uninstalling the game for some reason so it didn't reinstall to vanilla at first. I wish I still had the Rush Hour CD-ROM...

So it's been forever since I've started a new city, but something tells me this is probably not natural demand once the city hits about 1500 population: image.png.b037078217c1990aaf564bc455b925ae.png

Prior to this the demand was rather even, now all residential demand has topped out, and CO$$ and I-HT has totally sank, is this from a mod possibly? (I looked but didn't find the super demand mod in my plugins)

    @Rott

Is this in a region where that city tile is connected to other tiles which are in turn connected to more? The thing about regional play is when the data is propagated from all the other city tiles, it acts as tho those were all one huge city tile. Do you have others in your region with a bunch of CO$$ and I-HT?

Also, check the tax rates and education level just in case.

Ah, yes I imported an older big city just before this, and now when I moved it to a non-adjacent tile this crazy demand spike went back to normal. Thanks for the tip about the adjoining city, funny the things I still don't know about even after playing the game for almost 20 years now...
