Site and Discord connected/verified, still can't view Discord channels

Still unconfirmed after doing the register dance several times over many days.  Thins are just as OP stated.   This thread seems to indicate a post is required, so here is mine.  If true then should be added to instructions  http://bit.ly/simtropolis-discord-help.

It's part of our anti-spam effort and so we haven't mentioned it there. The idea is that mayors serious about participating in game discussions will also be interested in being part of forum discussions.

However, we'll add a wee bit more to that post you linked to.

I've actually been a member of simtropolis for about a million years, but haven't done anything sim-related in years. I just got SC4 from GOG, and am trying to install NAM but am having some problems. I have a discord account and linked it here, but I'm not getting in. Maybe because I haven't posted in the forum in many years?

Hi @SimplyJenny

It should be all set permissions-wise for you to access the Discord chat. The restrictions are for brand new accounts, so everything ought to be fine. I've checked your account in the ST local database and see a token and ID assigned there. Maybe it needs signing out and back in via Discord or your ST account firstly.

Just in case it still isn't working, I'll beep @Samerton who's one of our resident chat experts able to assist.

Thank you Cyclone. I logged out of the Discord app and logged out of simtropolis, then logged back into both. Still getting the unconfirmed message.

Hi @Samerton, thank you for looking into this for me. I logged out of and quit the discord app and logged back in just now. I am still seeing the unconfirmed member message. I am signed in here via the discord sign-in button.
