Software suggestions for tutorials

Hi everyone, 

I’d like to make a brief tutorial or two. I’m looking for suggestions regarding screen recording software in order to capture gameplay, sketchup, the BAT program, and possibly even keystrokes. Does anybody use software that they particularly like? Please recommend

I’ve been outta the game since FRAPS

FRAPs is my preferred utility for in-game recording, it handles DirectX better than a lot of other similar utilities. However I’ve found it useless at capturing Windows and apps, for that I use OBS Studio which is Open Source and pretty easy to figure out. There’ll likely be a myriad of other options, as with all software decisions, a large factor is personal preference.

Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

But, it looks like that Fraps is a bit old, last updated in 2013. Yes, 7 years ago. Time flies so fast. The alternative would be Afterburner's FPS counter, but I don't find another myself.
