Do you remember SimCity Deluxe for mobile devices?

Many might believe I'm talking about SimCity 4 Deluxe edition but that is not the case. A long long time ago there was a mobile adaptation of the famous game I possessed on my iPad and played all the time.

Proof:

I wonder if fans of the game still exist.

Hi @dorextime

Welcome to Simtropolis. *:)

This is the first time I've heard about a mobile version which appears to have been released around 10 years ago. I can tell from the trailer how there are some similarities to the SC4 building styles, and then there's more of a cartoony approach to the game design. I can imagine it must've been quite fun as another way to play.

By the way...

I remember this! I own a copy of it. Fun, but not great. The game is nothing more than a somewhat stripped down version of SC3K with lower quality (picture based?) versions of some of  the buildings from SC4 (they had SC3K names :lol:), including some of the sounds and the music from SC4 as well.

There was a HORRIBLE bug that plagued the game and EA never bothered to fix it at all: the water system, no matter how many facilities you had, your city barely had any water. They broke it and then a year or so later, they pulled the game from all stores. Besides that very annoying and sometimes aggravating bug, the game worked fine.

It was fun, but it was nothing to write home about. I haven't played the game in what seems to be years. I can still install it thankfully as I have an iPad 4 (it is a 32 bit only app). I might have to give it another spin for nostalgic reasons.

  • Thanks 2

Once you play with NAM installed, one simply cannot go back!

I'm waiting for the day when someone makes a Faber College lot for SimCity 4  :lol:

    Yes, you did it correctly. *:yes:

    SC3K = SimCity 3000

    Here's the wiki article with more info about the game:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SimCity_3000

    (And we have a dedicated forum about it here if interested.)
