RHW/Rail Height Transitions

Is there a way to transition to a different height with highways? I have a L0 highway and want to change to a L1 or L2. Wondering the same about rail. I can see in the menu there's an option to switch from subway to elevated rail, but I'd like to know if you could just go from subway to rail or rail to elevated. I've used the rail viaducts to travel over roads, but it seems they can only be built piece by piece whereas it would obviously be easier to be able have a draggable option to continue the network.

If you are talking about RHW, then use of either the Flex On-Slope or Ramps, found in the Flex Height Transitions menu would suffice. Even for MHY (or the MHO reskin), there exists similar pieces, although only for L0/L2 heights.

Note that a 1 level transition used at L0, would create a L0 to L1 ramp, but the same piece used on a L1 highway would create a L1 to L2 ramp. Specifically for RHW, this can be used between the 5 available supported heights up to L4 (where installed). Similarly, placing two height transition ramps together, can allow for transitions between levels further than 2 'steps' apart.

Using the latest Elevated RRW (requires you install RRW with NAM 36 or higher), adds on-slope and ramp pieces that work just like the RHW ones. If you don't use RRW, you'll be stuck with the more limited puzzle-piece based Viaduct Rail pieces.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.
