Hello guys! I am doing tests with mods fire stations (modern firestation from mattb325 and Regional Public Safety) in a laboratory city that only has a lot of coal power plant and waste power plant.

I noticed that the cursor of monthly budget of fire stations is moving on its own. :boggle:

Why this happens? Is there a way to solve this? *:???:

Hi Carlos. *:)

One thing I'm aware is how there's something known as the Phantom Slider Bug with monthly costs. This means if altering any lot which is already existing in a city, this first must be bulldozed and and tile saved (Ctrl+S) prior to building the modified instance. Otherwise the old data is still loaded from the saved game file, and this conflicts and causes the slider to not function properly (and possibly other issues too). Is this possibly what might be happening as you've noticed?

Otherwise I wonder if the costs are increasing over time, whether this is related to age degradation from the Exemplar property named:
Age to maintenance cost multiplier response curve (0x0911E2E7)

Someone else might know the precise details of how this works, but it sounds like it'll increase the monthly costs as a civic or utility lot gets older. With being a "curve" and to me that suggests how the rate at this happens turns more and more expensive over time.

Yes! You right! Thank you! *:thumb:
I repeated this steps: I put a modern fire station and saved city and exit the game; I modified sc4lot file (Budget Item: Cost property) and opened the city; after I changed the budget slider, the problem started!

    Budget before the problem.

    Budget after "Phantom Slider Bug".

Sometimes, we can see crazy things :boggle:: 2 radius protection to same fire station. The smaller is the "original radius" and the other is radius from "Phanton Slider Bug".

But, I didn't get to repeat this effect in first try: I have impression that this happens just we change budget properties. When I just modify "Fire Station, Radius" property, the problem does not occur.

I solved my problem recovered my city from a backup.
But, I understand that just remove all civic build aroud this type, save the city, open again and replace build modified. Right? *:ohyes:
