Not sure what is going on with my livery on this aircraft. Suggestions, ideas are most welcome. Thanks in advance.

Tell us more (hover / inspect the suspect aircraft).

Is this a custom texture you've made yourself? Because it looks to me like the UV mapping is completely off. That's basically how textures get mapped to shapes, 3D models have coordinates which can be used to put a 2D texture onto a complex 3D shape correctly.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

When I hover it shows U Drive It apron. In the menu it shows Fire Plane. When  I search for Fire Plane in SC4 documents and Plug ins, nothing called Fire Plane shows up.

Awhile back I put C-17 globe master in to replace fire plane. I removed all of those attempting to replace with commercial airliner but cannot recall which one exactly. This is not something I created. I am wondering if this is a conflict with more than one replacement dat for the Fire Plane.

The label in game won't necessarily correspond with the file name in Plugins.

So it seems pretty likely that is where this "skin" comes from. Try to find and remove that file and see if this changes it back.

Perhaps. There are basically two elements in respect of automata, the texture and the S3D (model) file. If one mod altered the S3D, but the other relied on the original S3D model being there, it could cause this issue. If this were the case, removing the C-17 globe master wouldn't revert to the Fire Plane, but likely something else. Then you'd need to find and remove that override and restore the C-17 globe master file.

The problem here is that we can only speculate as to what files you have installed. It's not likely anyone will know exactly what the file names you need to look for are. If all else fails, the "binary search" method is the quickest way to track down the cause of your problem, which works like this:

    • Remove approximately half of your Plugins files/folders.
Don't delete them, just move them somewhere outside of the Plugins folder, like a temp folder on the desktop.
    • Open SC4, has anything changed?
      • If Yes
Then at lease one file relating to the problem, was in the half you removed.
Switch the two halves before continuing
      • If No
The problem files must be in the half that remain.
    • Now from whichever set of files remain, split them in half once more.

Following the same logic each time, continue to remove half of the remaining contents and testing. Eventually, you'll have very few files left to check, making the location of the problem quite obvious.

Note: It is VERY important you never save your game during these tests, it could seriously mess up your save file.
