Missing English SimCityLocale.DAT

I really need an english language pack so if anyone can give me the SimCityLocale.DAT in English of the maxis SimCity 4 folder he/she would be a lifesaver

I'm afraid since these are internal data files included with SC4, due to copyright reasons we can't allow the original to be shared unfortunately.

However, maybe we can locate the file in your setup...

One thing to check is whether you've got the English SimCityLocale.DAT file included.

To do this, navigate to your SC4 installation folder (E.g. Program Files (x86)\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe ). Inside there should be several named folders for different languages from around the world. If there's an "English" one, this will be the correct file which will also set the driving side to the right. Then all being well, the next step would be to add the -l:"English" parameter to your game's target shortcut, instructing SC4 to use that as the language pack.
