How to list out assets used in a savegame?

Is there a way to do this? I'd like to do it for 2 reasons:

1) Make a collection of assets to share a savegame.

2) get rid of assets that I'm not using

I find that sharing a savegame with 1000+ assets is so incredibly tedious. I love that people still do it. There have been some epic savegames shares, with accompanying collections of mods and assets. How can we optimize this process so that we can share savegames with each other?

Yes, you can do this with a mod tools script. In case of buildings, just iterate through the m_buildings array of BuildingManager, put all found BuildingInfos into a HashSet and output a list of that set.

And is it true that there is no way to bulk add said assets to a collection? As far as I have found, you have to add each asset one by one, with a page refresh after each single asset. Is that right? What an incredibly impractical method! Is there any push anywhere to improve the steam workshop with some kind of bulk add tool?

Pretty sure Loading Screen Mod can list all mods and assets used in a save too. Prob in it's log.

Yup, these reports are very useful. They list all assets, mods, etc. used in the savegame, what props are missing, and all of this with direct links to the workshop for every item. They separately list all items that are not used.

I don't know anything about handling collections in a less tedious way though. Of course, there's always the old method to switch out the "userGameState.cgs" files, either per hand or per mod.

I'm not very familiar w/ ModTools, scripts, and modding in general. Are the details of how to do what you mentioned available somewhere?

@AmiPolizeiFunk : In case you meant me, I quoted the wrong post (boformer's), so sorry for the confusion. I meant the Loading Screen Mod that produces a useful log with many links, like Avanya said.  The "userGameState.cgs" file is in the main game folder ins AppData and saves the state of which mods/assets are active and which aren't, and you can just switch it out like you want.

Regarding ModTools, I have no idea.

I concur with @Avanya. It produces a handy HTML file, where you can find links to almost all assets on the workshop.
