Hey everyone, I am getting back to playing this great game and was wondering if anyone knows how to get rid of gaps like this (arrow)

This may be due to the GLR you placed nearby.  As an experimnent, destroy the GLR intersection along with some of the diagnol pieces.  Place a normal road piece and fill in any gaps with the pedestrian tiles.  See if the gap disappears.  If it does, then for some reason that section of road does not have the necessary sidewalk texture when it is used with the a GLR network piece.

It seems that there's no building close enough to trigger the sidewalk texture. I think zoning/plopables only extend the sidewalk one tile around them, not 2 annoying as it is. The sidewalkless piece of road is surrounded by  pedmalls and GLR, thus no sidewalk texture.

It'd be great if anyone knew how to fix it without destroying anything, but if not you can replace the pedmall above the arrow with a small plaza, and that should create more sidewalk without harming sims routing too much.

That's the best solution.

Transit networks do not trigger sidewalks when placed next to another network, only zoning and plop lots do. Pedmalls are actually seen as a transit (road) network by the game. So long as you zone one side or the other, a sidewalk would appear. But if you have no zoning, then use of a plaza or other suitable filler lot is needed.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.
