Wow! Thanks for all the responses folks! Other than Rite Aid and a TBD insurance company, I would like keep the other businesses all generic. @Billk2007 has the right idea with generic business ideas such as a comic shop, salon or vape shop.  No plans to add any other national brands in this particular plaza. This strip mall is designed after the RL Livingston Park Plaza in Manchester, NH. .

If you can come up with a name for a suggested business, that may boost the chances of your suggestion being accepted. The lower roof portion on the right is designed to be a family restaurant.

Hopefully this will help you all out with future suggestions.

    VapeTown or VaporWaves

nailed it for a nail salon

right cuts for a hair salon

    maybe a pizza place too?

    hometown pizza.

Was trying to think generic mom n’pop places. Hopefully nothing is copyrighted by another company lol

Still some work to be done, especially finding/making a better texture for the roof awning.

Looks great. Just wish it had 2 or 3 shopping cart 🛒 corrals.

Wanted to make the most of the parking for this lot. You can add a few using the lot editor if you wish. Simply search for SHK under props and you'll find the ones I use. *;)

So, I decided to revisit the larger Sears Auto Center today to make it fit better with the Sears I made a few weeks back. While there is still some work needed, I am much more satisfied with this version. I may replace the old file with this once ready.

Publix should be released either tommorow or Sunday afternoon, after giving it a lot.

Some of you may be curious as to why I'm making a Taco Bell and Olive Garden. I'm making them as outparcels to what will be my biggest project yet, a mall. This is also why Sears was not uploaded a few weeks back.

This is a rough idea of how the lot(s) should look when complete, but it is subject to change. Each square represents a tile on a lot.

If anyone wants to throw some suggestion names out for this mall, that'd be cool.  Just be aware that it could be some time before this is completed. Planning to go through and update the technical side of existing stuff I made before I dive into working on what will be a massive undertaking.

WOW! That is impressive! Is this going to be an open air mall? Maybe a Bath & Body Works (I work for that company *:D) or other common mall stores in this mall?

    Few name suggestions,

    - The Pavilion

    - The Shoppes of Forest Park

    - Southland Crossroads

    Keep up the great work!!

Thank you! It will not be open air as it designed to be based around a '70s style mall, but needless to say, Bath & Body Works would be in there somewhere!

    Nice name suggestions too!

Yeah, so since I ran into some issues with figuring things out with the jobs this morning, I decided to pretty much spend my entire day remaking a few things:

Thankfully, I was helped to see what said issue was so we'll get there! Thanks again @mattb325.

Unfortunately, it looks like the Aldi attempt #2 I worked on as well (which I was 100% complete with too) may have corrupted. Need to see if I can possibly do some digging of sorts to get it back. At least I still got the textures handy.

These three, along with Aldi, I felt could be improved upon. I'm quite happy with how they turned out.

A few things to wrap up today with:

    I'm planning to redo

    • Aspen Dental (size issue)
      • Honestly wouldn't worry about it, but it feels too big by comparison to Western Dental 2.0
    • OTASCO (roof issue)
    • Western Auto (roof issue)

Looking at the pics of these, it sure puts it into perspective how far I've come in terms of BATting.

    I will not being redoing

    • Ollie's Bargain Outlet
    • Child World
    • Sears Auto Center (small version)
    • Strip Mall #1

While these four could be improved, I'm happy enough with how they look despite being from my early BAT era.

A big thank you to everyone for your patience with me with updating stuff! It's been a bit of a learning experience, so time was needed to learn how to do this. I'm hoping to get the first batch of landmarks with jobs up tomorrow if all goes well.

Well after a lot of file editing and shuffling, everything up until my prop pack should now include jobs, unless they serve a purpose such as healthcare. Not everything has jobs at this point.

Definitely going take a breather tomorrow from SimCity related stuff. My computer saw several slowdowns today likely due to all the files I've been moving around.

Celebration time! Everything of mine now has jobs or serves a functional purpose such as healthcare.

Also will highlight these four files as they were entirely redone:

Now I just need to fix two lots and then redo OTASCO, Aspen Dental and Western Auto. I also need to update Sears large auto center.
