I didn't, it's a trick, did you read the posts above?, it's all explained. In short it's a TE lot with an overhanging prop. The network under the bridge must convert to subway, sims can't drive upon the section beneath the bridge. These are in development as a replacement for the now unavailable ones from Kazuki.

This sort of problem infuriates me, because I know in all likelihood there is no one that is going to drop in and say "ah, try this" or assist me to resolve it. In essence, I'm on my own here.

Sorry, having a moment of modding despair. @Tarkus to the rescue over on SC4D helped me see the problem. In short, my regular adapting fillers have just a single texture upon them. These have two, a sidewalk (base) and then the network (overlay). It's so much more flexible and adapts AutoMagically™ for every part. Sadly, it seems I've been too ambitious there, because that's what leads to the z-fighting problem. Specifically, it's the bridge shadow (technically a separate texture), that collides with the models. If I don't layer the pieces, maybe this will work. Worse-case scenario, I have to bake things into textures. I can offer a GoFSH repository for customising them, so at least the textures aren't fixed. But I was hoping to make them better than that :(.

Still, not all bad stuff, a result of these problems caused me to work on the sidewalk fillers and fix them once and for all. I'm working on some other new fillers/extenders, I'll report progress on that in my development thread shortly:

I think you are being really picky. I understand from where that comes, but being on the position of an user, I think your work, as it is now, is good and useful.

Oh yes, I totally am... like I said, I won't use them looking that way, that's my level of pickiness. But, unlike some creators, that won't mean I'll leave them gathering cobwebs. The issue is more that knowing I won't use them, doesn't exactly motivate hours of modding to finish them. Just a few words of encouragement from others can make me feel much better about it. I know things are quiet and that's not really something that happens. But yeah, if there is no demand, where is my motivation here? Anyhow, in this case I think I can work it out. But spend enough hours frustrated by a problem like this and you do start to wonder why you are bothering.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

While my own contributions to this site can't begin to compare with yours, I do empathize with your feelings. (I took on a big project last year and the response was great for the first thread, decent on the 2nd, then dwindling by the 3rd and 4th.) What you do is beyond the technical ability (or current knowledge) of many of us and we often times fail to understand the complexity of what it takes when you make your creations. I know my little cheer up there is silly, but maybe, just maybe you'll get a chuckle and a wee bit of encouragement.

You do so much for this community. I hope the Likeys I click for many of your posts helps in some small way.

OK, madness averted and sanity restored, I had time to take another look at this today. I've had to completely alter the way the pieces work... more details in my Dev Thread, where I'll be continuing this from here on out:

But this project is back on track now and I've managed to keep my original vision of adaptive pieces too :D. Thanks to all for the supportive words, it really does mean a lot.
