Why do I suddenly have snow?

Guys (and girls),

I've got a question for you.

I just downloaded a lot of plugins, props and lots for Simcity 4, and now I suddenly have snow at certain altitudes during the winter months. And that snow makes it really hard to see roads and undeveloped zones. The snow appears in October and disappears during March, but only above certain altitudes.

Now I tried removing all the stuff in the plugin folders, but that didn't help. Then I tried reinstalling and patching Simcity, but that didn't help either. Does anyone have any idea how I can remove the snow?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your pictures ask for a password to view them 3.gif

You got snow because of something called an easter egg (or just egg, whatever)

It's soemthing Maxis threw in as a bit of a christmas present, and there is nothing wrong with the game. enjoy!5.gif

In my region if you set the game to Cheetah speed the snow drifts down the mountains. Then melts a bit retreating towards the top of the mountain. Then drifts down again, the whole thing cycles. I have to build when there is no snow and watch for it to get covered. Ahhh. Still we are forcast the real thing on Monday night.Brrrr.

I think SC4 corresponds with the system clock so that on Christmas, it has the snow effect. Note: I have a map region and the snow is very streaky...wonder how my Columbus snowcapped city Cordov is doing...

For get about all the other snow mods out there - This is the real deal. Too bad maxis made it only an egg. Maybe it drains resorces or something. And true - it's hard to lay out roads or see where anything is under all that white stuff, but who would be out working in weather like that anyway?

     here's a pic - i think

I am sure everyone noticed the Christmas easter egg. The question is, why are you playing SC4 on Christmas Day? Shouldn't you be celebrating the holiday with your families?

Anyway, its boxing day now, and the egg is asleep for another year.
