Hello people. I have a problem. I messed up my water, I cant find the water mod i'm using in the plugin folder. I have one installed that I'm knowing of but this pixely one appears instead.

I've tried and tried to find the file in my quite well organized plugin folder.

Someone PLEASE HELP.

Well the only suggestion I can provide is to find and remove the offending mod file.

Perhaps this thread will help you to find which mod it is?

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

Wow! That's an extremely useful linky you posted. ;):blush:

@sucram17

Anyhow, I opened up my Water Shoppe thread in a separate window and tossed it over on my 2nd monitor. Comparing your pic with the examples it looks like you might have japan02.dat installed. However, the differences between our comps, graphic cards, phase of the moon, and what-not, might mean my pics won't match yours exactly.

    Well, I'm having a problem with my water mod too. I'm using Ocean River Mod and FmBeachesForIrregularCoasts.

    That's an issue with water-bound texturized lots. If I remember clearly, you have to enter and exit some underground view (subway, water pipes, zoning) to solve it. Otherwise, closing and opening the city tile will fix the glitch, that is annoying but purely visual.

    Here's (part of) the post I liked which explained it to me the first time I had the goofy graphics:

    For your information, the bug you are seeing here is commonly referred to as the "Water Graphics Bug", it exists independently from any mod, and it was introduced by Maxis themselves when they released the official Rush Hour addon. Since then, it has been hard-coded in the game file, and Maxis/EA has never bothered patching this problem. This is also the reason why it cannot be fixed by any downloadable plugin: you would need to fix it right in the game code of SimCity, which would require reverse-engineering of the code. To make matters worse, it is also illegal because it would require the distribution of a manipulated SimCity EXE file, and such distribution would result in a copyright violation and could get the person who distributes such a file into serious trouble with EA's lawyers.
