Is it acceptable? Seriously? It's terrific! Who's not using a good, realistic LUT, anyway? :)

    I forgot to adress the issue of texture size. This is my plan for future decal releases:

    1x1 units (8x8 m) = 512x512 px
    2x2 units (16x16 m) = 1024x1024 px
    4x4 units (32x32 m) = 2048x2048 px

    If you think this is all wrong let me know please!

    Maybe don't put a blanket resolution for all decals the same size.

    For example the skid marks decal I made is 64x64 yet it's just 512x512, because there is no detail necessary.

    Judge each decal seperately, also you can use any size for the mesh, doesn't need to be powers of 2 or square.

    You have a point I guess. I'll have that in mind.

    Ok, I didn't know that! But textures still needs to be powers of two, right?

    Uh, looks great! :D I'd say they fit the look of the game without LUTs too. So should look good with any LUT or none. :thumb:

    the fences and markings have basically taken over my build...... man the detail.  now where to build a junkyard... :)

    Nice to see more variety in decals, I'm tired of seeing mine all the time. "Oh it's that same big dirt decal with the white rock in the corner for 100th time."

    The game lacks texture variety so people fill up everything with trees and props, decals are the best solution for otherwise empty areas.

    Ok, so I just found myself placing rock decals on my cliffs and grass decals on the grass today... What has detailing made of me?

    Jokes aside, decals in general (and yours of course) are awesome indeed! IRL a lot of areas are quite empty, and these decals add so much life to them! And your rock decal is a great alternative to cover my cliff texture. I'd like to use a 4k map theme but Theme Mixer currently doesn't like mixing 4k and regular textures (scale issue)...

    I don't know if this is something that most folks have picked up on or not, but using a decal under a structure covers the 'ruined' texture bordering the building, it especially makes suburban houses look much better! I expect to see some new L1-L5 light detached residences using the awesome decals provided by the community

    I only realised it recently but you can get rid of the ruined texture around houses and other stuff with Surface Painter if you have that mod (the last, 'empty' texture).
