Ok, to the vote...I vote for a tram line. I think it would look great and also fulfill some commuter needs.

OMG! I can't believe i missed this jouranl. I think your city is looks really really fantastic and I think it's one of the best looking journals around! It has the mixture that european charm and the big city. Those animations at the scond page really are good in fact, I love them! The the first picture of your CJ really is eye-catching. The city also looks very organised and clean. Good job and keep it up! I'am really looking forward to the next update.44.gif

Dark Avatar:As I have said before, it is always nice to see fellow CJ 'owners' browse through mine and comment on it. Thank-you for the nice, detailed comment.1.gif
ChicAgo333:Well, the railroads are still there at heart, but not quite railroad-ish anymore...
cowcorn:I am always too slow to find the information on the profile for the physical joining date, but you now seem to be joining the community itself by posting, and it is always nice to see new posters.

Now, for somewhat of an teaser picture of one of the many districts of my city that I have yet to showcase...21.gif

I hope for more to come soon... if you browse Nijni-Novgorod CJ, you might find something of interest... more on that to come soon, as I might have an little too much time on my hands now...31.gif

Towards pikatchoum:Thank-you, but that comment I see really gives me too much credit, there are much better ones that exist in my opinion that people in Simtropolis have have. But, thank-you anyways 1.gif

Well, this is not really a bit update, or a significant one, but I just went crazy with building farmland one day, so I thought that I should should all of you 3.gif

Looking at these pictures again, me thinks that I better learn Photoshop and image-compression before my next update.

Thank-you very much for the comment, ZipZapZop.
It seems apparent to me that most of the people at Simtropolis are very against having farmland and rural areas posted in a City Journal, as over 4 days, the journal experienced over 200 unique views, and only one comment!

If that is the case, I will discontinue having any rural areas featured inmy City Journal. If this is not, then any member of Simtropolis can express their liking or disliking for this style of city building via a comment!

I hope that this post is not considered rude by any means, and you can maybe expect an update in the future sometime... all depending if anyone wants to see more of this city. This is your chance to post before this City Journal may become jeporadized as of a lack of interest coming from Simtropolis members.

Actually, I think you should continue to show farmland and rural areas. Yours are really great and I'm so happy to see someone take such great interest in making it realistic!! 44.gif Besides, don't you think that there are enough journals with huge skyscrapers for people to look at? You can't be everything to everyone. There are many people who will look on journals, but never post. Your journal may provide them with terrific ideas for their own cities. As well, I wouldn't worry too much on whether people make a post...as long as you're satisfied with what you're creating.19.gif On a side note...I think I've found another Sister City for my region...permitting, of course.

I just read the update on the farmlands and I find your work on these really impresseve. I'll have to review what I make of mine. You will be on the long list of people I steal ideas from. 3.gif

I went through page two and I saw that you named your A-55 Trans-pays wich is similar to the A-55 close to where I live (in Sherbrooke by the way) named Trans-Qu

Well, I have been very busy, and not having too much time for SimCity nor Simtropolis, and I believe that I have a few comments to respond to - but, sorrily, no updates, for now.

I thought that I asked someone to keep my thread bumped for the time that I was gone...22.gif

Well, a late thank-you for the comment, Dodge44; and thanks for the explanation masher...18.gif

Well, here is the closet thing to an update that I can give you guys for now... I have not played the game for a bit... Nor visited ST...

Well - for a laugh - let us gaze at a before shot of my region...

    arvillepr6bd.gif

Maybe an after shot would be nice as well, you are all saying, right? Well, I have just a little more, I got Photoshop-happy one day while I was bored... 11.gif

Well, as you can see, there is not much to see... But you guys can try to guess how I have my Autoroute numbering system set-up [That is if you can, by some slight chance, make sense of it.]

I have only released a transportation map, as the rest is Top Secret... I have a bit of work to do on some things... And half a million more inhabiants to go - until I reach 1 000 000.

    Thank-you for the comment, superchad.

I have some bad enough news for all of you - my computer with SimCity and all of its files installed on it no longer works; a vital windows file seems to have corrupted, and being the nerd that I am, I couldn't even fix it myself. I am reinstalling windows on another diskdrive, and I will hopefully be able to recover my region later on...

So, I am still unsure whether I can retrieve my region; but let's all hope that I will be able to.

I had made much progress on my region as well, I restarted on the largest circled area in my last update, near the centre-west of the region. I had also made progress on al above the central part of my region... I was almost ready for an update.

I am really sorry about this; except, I hope that I will be able to salvage my region once my computer works again; if not, I will scrap it and being work on another region (which I was already doing, restarting every city, one-by-one...)

I will keep you guys up to date, though I will be out of town from tomorrow to Monday...

Love the urban feel to parts of your city.  Love the downtown area ... not too crowded.  But thats a lot of plazas.... geesh!  Two things... where did you get that monorail station just pictured above?  That design is awesome.  And the other thing I want to know where I can get is the dirt roads.  Great thing for aggie towns.
