NAM on old mac os X versions (powerpc)

I recently recovered my trusty old Power Mac G4 MDD (PPC), after installing Mac OS X Tiger and playing around with it I installed Sim City 4 for mac on it.

It runs great (with the Rush Hour addon) but I soon run into the traffic problems the default version has. I'm looking to install NAM, but unfortunately the latest NAM for mac doesn't run since my mac OS X is to old or since I'm running this on a native PPC.

I've been looking on the web for an older version of NAM which would work in PPC versions of OS X. (I didn't expect the recent versions to work on this old OS) Does anyone know if Nam was even released for these powerpc macs? And would it still be possible to download this?

AFAIK, the only limitation to running NAM on PPC Macs is the installer.  You could certainly extract/install the application on a windows computer (or Virtual PC install of XP) and copy it over.  That is what I did for 6 years on my PowerBook.

The NAM Team's general policy is to immediately discontinue old versions as soon as the next one becomes available (which reminds me, the Mac version here is actually quite outdated), so you will have considerable difficulty trying to find the last one without an installer (NAM 30, which is now 5 years old).  However, there is an old version of the NAM Traffic Subsystem download that is still around here, which includes just the Traffic Simulator and the Traffic Simulator Configuration Tool., but nothing else in the mod  That should run on OS X Tiger if you have the right version of Java, so you'd at least have some improvements to the traffic simulation.

Otherwise, I would second TEG24601's recommendation.
