NAM took my budget and shredded it

I had a great budget in all of my cities, at an average of +5000 simoleons. However, upon installing NAM, all of those budgets dropped to basically even with the expenses. Has anyone had this issue?

A little more information about your city(ies) would be nice, but one guess of mine is, if your cities had extensive public transportation use and they were profitable before, that the NAM changed commuting patterns so that people use them less, causing the profits from public transportation to disappear.

I had a suspicion that the transportation usage had been altered. Bummer, they were rich cities.

I do use a ton of bus stops and subway.

I haven't yet installed any addons myself, so I'm just speculating here.

I've read that NAM has a custom install option. If you haven't already, try that and see if there are things you want to tell it not to load. Maybe there's something about transportation preferences or such. :unsure:

I do know, from reading, that you can run and re-run the custom NAM setup as many times as you like. There's no need to uninstall NAM to do so.

I suggest you examine the charges set of by the TSCT tool that is installed as part of the NAM.  You can adjust transit rates and usage with this.
