Trouble with account stability

I have been having trouble posting and logging in recently with Simtropolis.  it seems that after every 10 minuets or so the site makes me log in again.  This is particularly frustrating when it makes me log in when I am trying to submit a post (either a new topic or a reply).  sometimes it will tell me that I dont have permissions to post (when I am logged in) and other times it will just erase my post, and everyonce in a while it will clear my text but post a blank message (making it look like I double posted).

Until recently I have been logged into Simtropolis continuously (I have cable internet and it is always connected) but just in the last few days it keeps making me re-log in.  it is very frustrating.  I have not done anything to my internet or cookie settings (that I am aware of).

Is anyone else having this problem or does anyone have any ideas about why this is happening?

I've noticed that, too. It must be a glitch with the forum, since I deactivated password saving in my browser. For forums, I don't mind when the password is stored in the cookies, so I'm logged int automatically, but why should there be a need to click login manually when all user data is already present?

Yeah, I am having some major problems with threads and my user account ATM. I'm getting loads of time-out errors and its also making me log in again every 5 minutes or so. 38.gif Anyone know what's going on?

It is especially annoying when you spend 10 minutes composing a reply, hit submit, then you loggin, and you forgot to copy to clipboard.  Now your post loads up empty.  Even if you copied what you typed, when you edit you can't enter a quote.7.gif

Log out, clear your simtropolis cookies and internet browser cache, log back in. It won't fix the problem, but you will stay looged in as long as you dont leave the site.

It is a cookie issue, obviously, we'll have to deal with it until dirk fixes it.

I've been having the same problem.  It appears rather random for me; it was a problem yesterday and some today, but not to the same extent that it was yesterday.

Firefox doesn't have that problem! If you enter a form it saves the information so when you hit back it's still there.

It will pass in time if we give it a chance.  It's great that we are getting this popular and as we surpass 100,000 members these type of things are bound to happen.  Dirk and the administrators always get these problems solved eventually, they always do.  Besides, there are a lot of other places to visit on the internet. 10.gif

Anyway, I think it's been fixed now...sort of...3.gif It's certainly gotten better, but in a site of 100,000, there's bound to be some problems that crop up. And to put it all in perspective, it isn't that bad. 48.gif
