Subway region view mod?

Searching for a mod that shows subway lines in region view for more than a weak, still I can't find.

(By now I've only used elevated rail and trains on the ground to show up the transportation system in my region...)

Isn't it wonder why that useful mod, at least I think so, is hard to find? :S

I don't know if it's as simple as that. Such a thing would be a highly complex affair, I recall it was not so easy to get RHW showing up here either. Not to mention if you made a new one, it would conflict with other such mods, such as the one from the NAM.

Of course it is not easy.  If I were doing such a thing it would simply be an extension of the light rail.  As a matter of fact, I am not sure if subway doesn't show up as light rail.

Anyway this is a job for the NAM team to look into since they already support the one for RHW, one wonders if it would be all that difficult for them to just extend things a little.  Displaying possible results from RULs is probably different from this idea.

In an open-ended game like this, it is possible that the additions may produce something rather top heavy, and may capsize the whole thing.

It should have been something Maxis implemented with the original game, but the fact that they didn't makes me think it is would be next to impossible to add.

I'd hazard a guess, the completely non-standard way subway works means it's probably not possible. Even if it were, someone with the skills would have to take the time to make it happen. So considering it hasn't, my guess is don't expect work to start on it anytime soon.

Yes, I agree with that.  The kludge they used to force light rail underground probably makes it nearly impossible to map the result.
