Try to add 7-Zip support for file uploads

Well, I doubt Simtropolis needs a copy of 7zip, I certainly don't need one.  The site is on an Apache server which generally sits on Linux or UNIX.

Only Windows users (and perhaps OS/X) need this extra application.  After today's announcement by MS of discontinuing support from anything older than Windows 8.1 I wonder how many alert users will stay with Microshaft.

I'm painfully aware that my antivirus has flagged up NSIS installers in the past, including the NAM. Such false positives are a pain because users sometimes just assume the antivirus has the slightest idea what is going on.

I can whitelist items in my AV, but it does not care from whence they are downloaded. I've not used AV products that pay attention to the source of the file to determine if it's safe. I wouldn't assume that's a standard feature.

^ The other thing to be sure about is that your firewall (you are running one?) is set up to allow these files as well.

Linux has a build-in kernel module that is supposed to prevent launching of any program will a bad checksum.  It is called apparmor, and it keeps lists of checksums of validated applications.  I nevertheless also use a belt (CLAM-AV) and suspenders (ufw).  I suspect this is an overflow from the years when I ran Windows and was burned a few times.
