Having trouble with the NAM installer (Solved)

Hello,

I'm having problems installing the NAM. The installer works fine until i get to the setup type selection menu. When i hit the next button the installer stops responding (image included). Is there a way to install with out installer, or does anyone have a solution for this. I'm running windows 10 and SC4 deluxe. Any input is appreciated.

Thank you very much!

First off, welcome to Simtropolis!

We've heard a few isolated reports of this sort of thing happening, but we've never been able to replicate it or obtain enough information to actually figure out what is causing it.  There are a couple of things I would suggest trying, to see if these help:

1) Make sure you're running the NAM installer as an Administrator in Windows.  Unless they've changed things dramatically in Windows 10, you should be able to bring up this option by right-clicking the icon for the NAM installer, and selecting "Run as Administrator" from the menu that pops up.

2) Try another installation option to see if it just occurs on the "Complete Standard Installation".  I'd try "Custom Installation" if you can (there's actually a drop down box at the top that'll let you select the "Complete Standard Installation" under the custom mode).

I looked a little further into the problem and it just turns out i was running a out of date version of the game. Sorry about that. thanks anyways though!

Just to be sure, so long as you are running SC4 Deluxe edition or have the additional Rush Hour expansion for the original game, you can update it with the EP1 patch from EA to the latest version.

If you are running the vanilla standalone SC4, I'm sorry but you are going to find many mods are not supported, including the NAM.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

I am running the deluxe edition. I was running a cracked version before but i just spent the last 30 miuntes trying to find my old copy of the game. and even though it was extremely scratched it still works :)
