Hi there!

I noticed that my simcity 4 deluxe version deleted my city by itself, when I entered the regions, it shows a plain terrain :( I did check my regions files and there's still show my cities - Spandau, it just won't upload to the regions, whenever I tried to import the cities through the Berlin region, Spandau, did not show up :(

I tried to check the previous version and there's any. I did carefully saved my city and exit SC4 without any problem, but when I entered to play SC4 today , poof! its gone! (other cities still appears normally)

Someone do help me please! been playing on that city for 13 years! :(

Greatly appreciated it!

The regional thumbnail for the city was damaged. It is possible to load the city using Terraformer. First, make sure the city has been loaded into an actual region; it can't be left in the Downloads folder. The program will attempt to protect the city from alterations, make sure to uncheck the protect mayor boxes. Alter a small piece of the city. Once saved, a new thumbnail will be generated and you'll be able to access the city. You'll want to make a backup of the city first, of course, because it'll be quite easy to damage it when terraforming.

This is a common occurrence.  Did you try to open the "blank" city tile?  It probably will open.

This happens when you get carried away during a save and switch to another program (ALT+TAB for example) before the save writes the snapshot of the city in the region image.  Generally speaking this is a no-no because you may wind up with a corrupt and unrecoverable city tile.  It is a very bad habit to hop off into a browser, for example, without waiting for the save to finish.  This is due to what, in a modern program, would be a bug.  The program is intolerant to losing focus, especially when in a save condition.  This cannot be fixed, so after you have requested a save, it is hands off until you get the save confirmation dialogue box.
