LP: Ill get back to you soon.

Guys, im taking a break from the evening sessions in chat. Too much abuse heading my way, not appreciated. Had enough. So taking a few days out.

I come in chat to socialise when im not out, not to be abuses, if i wanted to be abused i would go find some chavs.

    Hey Tonks,

How do you go about asking for plans? Do you just walk in and ask and give over details?

I thought it would be quite hard in the currant climate.

    Cheers

    Tonks! Great looking building!
For tiles you can try to use Tile map in Max itself – it will generate color and brightness variation, and lines between tiles randomly according to your settings – great helper.
But I would like Jason suggest to use higher resolution textures generally they look (on the roof for instance) a bit too blurry.

Also, something that I do, is after I'm done working on a texture, I'll merge all of the layers together (after saving it as a new file), and then I apply a sharpen filter.  I also play with the brightness and contrast (using a brightness and contrast adjustment layer).

This is looking AMAZING! Loving the detail.

In a few ways it kinda reminds me of World Tower here in Sydney,

Here's a link to some photos of WT on Emporis, it might give you a few ideas as to texturing if you haven't worked anything out.

Emporis photos of World Tower, Sydney.

Even if you don't use it, may come in handy at some point for ideas.

Wohoo Tonkso, this apartment building will look great when all the lights are in! But if You are going to make all that work in creating interiors and interior lights, why not take the idea one step further? You could make 3 or so different light settings, then make those three different lighted buildings into props and make them shift every now and then by the "seasonal prop" method. Then, in the game it would look like people switched on and off the light just as ppl do in real life!
