Electric problem

New to the game just not getting used to the electric yet.

Here is a screenshot of what I mean, I currently have over heard powerlines and they don't seem to give houses etc electric?

My electric budget is set to 150% is this to high?

Looks like you don't have enough power. The houses that are close enough from the source still have power.

The reason for not having enough power, aside from not having enough power plants, may also lie in lack of resources in the case of coal or oil power plants or that the power plant has caught fire. In the latter case it's just a temporary problem.

Seems to me like it's a shortage of coal and oil. I don't personally get it, hence my relying on dams and nuclear plants.

Go to the power data overlay, and it will tell you how much power you are producing vs. how much is being used by your city. If you are producing less power than is being consumed, you will run into this problem.

When in doubt, plop a windmill and see if it goes away
