Cape Newenham is located in an unknown location somewhere on the planet Earth, presumably in the vicinity of Europe or Australia. But this is an imaginary region, and follows an alternate history, in which certain wars never happened, and others occurred that wouldn

The region shot looks amazing, so much detail even with no cities built yet! I, once again, wish you luck with this new CJ. 1.gif

Joy joy! Can't have enough ShadowAssasin CJ's!

The region looks fabulous! So does the small town.

Can't wait for your next update (Savannah or this, doesn't matter 29.gif)

(Ps. Might want to put some enters behind the pictures, things look offset (prob a fast udate eh?).)

your region is startling, Shadow - it must have taken a tremendous amount of work. very well done.
i of course also like your town - very well done, and i can see a lot of work went into the details (for instance, the fence around the windmills).
keep up the great work.

The region map looks so incredible. Nice work.
Quaint town too. How did you get the trees to go so neatly in between the buildings like that?

Shadow, its great to see you start another CJ. And this one is looking great.

I just love your region, its so large, and so beautiful! I like the soil data map, thats an original idea for any CJ!

Th first development looks great and I look forward to seeing where this CJ will lead to, which I'm sure is great things! 44.gif

The town so far looks excellent, and so this is a fantastic start to a CJ! I will follow this carefully. Oh, and I like your photoshop effects, the contrasting looks great. 9.gif

Two CJs? 42.gif

Wow, you must be
a) fast builder
b) have a lot of time and / or no RL
c) both of it

I would favourite c) when I see how much time my CJ needs ...

Anyway, I like that map and the quite rural starts looks good!

Very nice choice pf region. This surely looks promising.

I only have one problem, wich is that I am curently working on a CJ from the same region.32.gif Now this really bugs me since it is not public yet and isn't scheduled to be for at least 2 months. So I'm kind of indecisive wether I should start over on another region or I keep on with and be acused of copying you when I start to post my CJ.34.gif

It's nice to see two slightly different styles of regions between this and Savannah Way (although certainly your interesting sense of humor is present in both). The soil composition is an interesting variation on a region view that I don't I've seen anywhere here before. Also it's interesting that you're setting this up to start now and continue into the future.

I like how you have started on this CJ. The historic timeline aswell as the 'soil' map are good.
City images and story have enough details and are well made.

I have noticed you have only gras under your dirtroads, is that a mod?

Wow, looks like I got great feedback from you guys. Thanks! Anyways, I'll have another update up tonight, despite the fact I've prepared them in advance... well, I've got the next 7 updates prepared.

ginchael: Thanks. And the thumbnails are fixed now, IdealBB stuffed it up earlier.
    DragonAnime: Thanks.
    jasperdeman.nl: Thanks. Fixed it, it took me about 20 minutes wrestling with the editor... 14.gif'); height=15 alt=Insert smilie 14.gif src=https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/images/smilies/14.gif width=15 border=0>
Simen: Welcome here. 3.gif Thanks, of course.
    MrC: Thanks!
kylaar: I used PEG's Random Woods lot to do that, and an occasional sprinkling with the Mayor Mode trees.
    superchad: Thanks!
    choco: Thanks again. :P
Nardo: Both of it. I'm on holidays = lots of time. Thanks for visiting!
    Darmok: Thanks! Uh... *shrugs*
    dhop: Thanks!
cowcorn: Thanks. I've got no problem with that, go ahead and release it. It'll be interesting to see how you tackle Cape Newenham. This map isn't entirely a greyscale, though. I've edited the map quite a bit, mainly because I didn't like the mountains.
oroen: Thanks! Mainly boredom there. 3.gif
Kwakelaar: Thanks! The grass under the dirtroads - there isn't actually a mod for it, but more like a byproduct of a mod... the no dirt under rail mod made by swamper.
    sloppet: Thanks!

Again, come on in and post. I promise I won't bite. 3.gif

Another City Journal? LoL.. I thought there was a limit somewhere? Anyways, This one looks way more interesting than your other one. Sorry I just like how green it is. I guess you wanted to use the Mod that everyone is using! LoL.. (I'm not using it though) 3.gif

Great work on your update, it was quite interesting.

I like both the substance and the laid back attitude of this CJ (with naming all the streets, does it remind anyone else of Digby?) In terms of the city itself, I like the way your roads make gradual curves instead of a rural grid. This town looks very nice. Great job.

Great! I have your official OK. I've done a lot of editing with this region too. So all in all there might be big differences beetween our approaches.

Since I now made it official that I was preparing a CJ on this region I might prepare a start up post just to anounce my colours. (I hope I didn't plug myself here. That wouldn't be good.20.gif)

Thanks for commenting, guys. It keeps me going. At the risk of sounding like an Oscar winner, or *gasp*, worse, cliched, obviously, if it weren't for you, I wouldn't've bothered to start this new city journal up.

Equilibria: Thanks! Though, I do alter the curves as the town moves closer to the otherside of the map, so the road would become a bit more straighter.
Cowcorn: Heh, you didn't really need my OK. 3.gif But you've had a good start on it, so that's good.
    newy: Thanks!
Darmok: Always the scholar, eh? Searching through the dictionary, eh. 3.gif I know, I'm not as warped as say, a piece of wood left outside for 25 years, but I'll get there, eh.
    rewright: Thanks!

And, just a screenshot of what's to come soon enough,

    <ahttp://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/CNBridgeSkenery.jpg width=640 align=baseline border=1>

We'll be taking a look at this area, probably next update. But organizational issues aside, I hope you enjoy this pic!

edit: I've been going back and adding black borders to the pictures using HTML. Should I keep it, or remove it?
