Welcome to a new CJ by me 1.gif

Polegate is based loosely on  British cities such as Brighton and Blackpools, i have used GLR as my main mass transit and the city will use lots of traditional buildings with the new mixed in, the city is very dense and predominantly low rise.

Polegate

This is Polegate Central Station, it is a terminus rail station overlooked by some traditional W2W builidngs over the Road and Tramline.

The City of Polegate is littered with memorials and statues like this one on the top of Commercial Road.

And this one on towards the center of Commercial Road.

An overview of Central Commercial Road and Pedestrianised East Street.

There is a lot of money in Polegate, Office Space is crowded into the city center over streets, into old buildings. Major British Bank 'Barclays' Occupies the City's largest office building here on Brighton Road.

The electrified Mainline into the city, Trees have been planted over the years to help reduce noise pollution and air pollution. The Fences are left over from when it was only 2 lines prior to the 1892 widening.

Hope you like it 1.gif Ill get an update in soon.

Having never been to any British resorts, I cannot speak to the realism of this (although it looks fantastic). As a city, this looks dynamic and dignified. I like the placement of the GLR. Good job.

The city looks extremely pedestrian-friendly! And mass transit-friendly! And just plain cool!

    I'm very impressed so far!

    Exclamation point!

Most excellent.  Reminds me a bit of Brighton.  But the all important question is:  How many pubs are there and where are they?

    Cheers!

I'll second that. The W2W European buildings mixed in with more modern towers and tramways give your city a nice touch. Great work!

Thanks for all the comments guys, in answer to a few questions, the name Polegate comes from an area of Eastbourne England, this cj however is not a recreation of Polegate or Eastbourne.
