Czardus, posting a 10 MB image in 8K may not be a good idea. ;) Good shot, though...

Good call.  I had forgotten that this was the 8K version.  I've edited it to be a smaller version.

Thanks!

Nice ghetto.

You might want to think about using the pedestrian roads without curbs on some of your residential streets. You see those in a lot of places. Check out some pics of slums in Baltimore and Camden, New Jersey.

And I like the Pisswasser billboard. Something I'm waiting to see on the workshop, which is common to see in slums and ghettos, is the empty billboard. The pole and the supports are there, but no advertisers are paying to put anything on it.

Another thing I'd like to see, closely related to that, is an old, faded billboard covered in graffiti. You see those sometimes too, where no one's currently paying for the billboard, but no one's bothered to clean the graffiti off.

They both scream ghetto.

I agree that there should be empty billboards and graffiti ones too. However I'll try the pedestrian roads because I never really use it and see if they fit well in the ghetto.

If only I can suggest. I would play a little with trash decals. They seem too artificially. Out of it its perfect! :-)

Leaving little pieces of old infrastructure in my cities is a fun way to add a bit of realism, I've found. This shot shows the run-down remains of the old state highway, replaced about a decade ago by a shiny new freeway:

This really does add that extra layer of narrative to your city's history- just little echoes of the history and development of the place- visual prompts that hint at the previous stage in the life of your cims- love it- love the endless possibilities to express creativity in Cities Skylines.

I love builds that show the darker aspects of city life, e.g. terrible roads, slums, abandoned industrial areas, etc. My partner recently took a job helping the homeless get into shelters and receive other services, which inspired me to build this homeless encampment.
