This is the part of Highland Street that's going to be redeveloped. When finished it will be an urban street that will span into 3 districts on the east side of Freeport - Highland Junction, Eastview and Southeast Centre. Public Transit will also be improved along this street with a monorail running through the middle and subways connecting high rise subdivisions to the monorail system.

This is the general plan for the Highland Junction District.

Very impressive, especially the endless tract housing. How did you get those diagonal-grid neighborhoods to have identical lowrise apartment buildings?

212 Those are just 1x1 tiles. I put a space between the tile and the tile behind it so they will stay 1x1 otherwise they will develop into larger buildings.

This is the area that I've been working on since the last update which is a new section of the region I just added. Westmoreland is about 20 miles from Downtown Freeport this will eventually become the 2nd tier to this region.

To help residents and visitors to better find their way around the freeway system the Greater Freeport Transportation Dept. started switching over to a highway numbering system shown on the previous post.

Odd numbered 1 or 2 digit interstates go are North-South freeways.
Even numbered 1 or 2 digit interstates or East-West freeways.
3 digit interstates that begin with an odd number are spurs.
3 digit interstates that begin with an even number are loops or arc freeways

Other highways have no numbering system except that 3 digits highways are freeways and the first digit increments as you go further north

New BGS (Big Green Sign) signs are being tested out in on some of the freeways in Oceanside County. The BGS signs also may have the freeway name on it and the control city

    This the 500-501 Junction Sign

There has been a lot of growth since I was last here! This is a super impressive region!

Of course you should know that I love those signs. I imagine that they are photoshopped onto those signposts, yes? I remember seeing those posts on the STEX, I believe. I tend to resort to showing my signs in separate pictures, but it's really so much nicer this way. And I noticed you had a variable message sign earlier as well, which is always a nice touch. That reminds me to use some in my city as well.
