Businesses were dying in this part of town so the highlighted area has been bulldozed and redeveloped into residential. This is the same area after it's been redeveloped. To make room for new high density office development this neighborhood near downtown was demolished. New residential for these people was built in the Southside or Southbank City. This is West Downtown after renewal. New offices in West Downtown This is a rich neighborhood in the Northside and the towers in the background is Uptown. This is near the city limits between Centerville and Tucumcari This is the skyline of Centerville from Highway 199

The region continues to grow so a new town is being planned for development in Centerville County. The area's location near several freeways makes it a good area for development.

Street level view of Highway 78 that cuts right through the middle of Centerville View of the city from a rooftop in the Far Westside which is the part of Centerville west of 78. Industry in the area is located in the suburbs. Heavy industry and manufacturing is in Southbank City. High tech is mostly in Round Grove with more being developed in the outer suburbs. Southbank City is the most dreary part of Metro Centerville. All the dumps, junkyards and heavy industry is located here. Residential in Southbank City. The majority of the residents in Southbank City are poor because the area is polluted. This one is the Highland City Business Park which is a new development. Traffic off the East Bridge (Hwy 878). Traffic here is bad. This bridge may get replaced soon. Map of inner city Centerville The western portion of the city is poor while the notherrn and southern area range from middle class to upper middle class and the Eastside is where the elites live. High rise housing projects in the near west side. This area is a prime spot for redevelopment for more office space and higher end housing as it is adjacent to Downtown. Centerville is a well developed region of over 2.1 million Sky view of the region from Artesia. This is a semi-rural area that might not be that way much longer. Monte Cristo never had the resources to complete this game. They thought the Planet Offer would give them enough money and time to finish the game, and they were wrong. The "new" game (if MC doesn't go bankrupt) will most likely be a more complete version of Cities XL. They need to release the tools and information on how to add buildings and modify the game.

Wow, I am so surprised Cities XL flopped after only 3 months because of low PO subscriptions. We tried to warn them. Now, maybe we'll actually get at least half of what they promised in the Cities Unlimited days. Or maybe I'm being too optimistic.

I played the beta and I have the retail version. I still find myself playing SC4 and not even wanting to load XL. The MMO planet offer ruined what could have been a good game. I wish they would go back and make Cities UNLIMITED. -

Cities XL is not good. Gameplay experience is worse than City Life. It's apparent that developers live in their own little world. Why are food and oil city managed resources in the first place? Businesses import those themselves. It's strike 2 for Monte Cristo. If they want people to pay monthly for this game needs it needs to exceed functionality of SC4 Rush Hour. Just adding a chat box and trading a resource trading isn't enough. There's only one size of lots, no ambient sounds, no regions, no ability to edit maps or create new ones, no sandbox mode, no trains, no subways, no buses. Freeways are hard to build. That's not going to cut it. If you want to try this game wait until it hits the $5 rack.
