Facendo Rivivere un Pianeta Chiamato Dopo un Dio Romano

Hey! That's Italian! Yay!
And it means (roughly): 'Reviving a planet named after a Roman god'
Only there's an error with it. It should be 'una Pianeta', not 'un Pianeta'

quote>
I already said this in the forum game, but pianeta is a masculine noun, not a feminine noun (il pianeta/i pianeti), so un pianeta is correct.

I'll have to admit: I never did quite grasp the concept of inanimate objects having a gender.   42.gif

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

I'm taking Spanish and I don't get why a pencil sharpener is a guy (El Sacapuntas) and a door is a girl (La Pared I think).

I love french so much I took classes in school, but couldn't grasp the female/male thing and never learned how to roll my rrrrrrrrrrrs, oh and the verb thing really got me down.  It's been so very many years since then that when we went to Europe Bonjour was all I could manage!  But I could listen to someone speak french for hours.   44.gif

Le, La, Les always get me in french. Why do objects have genders? I have no clue.

La carrote, Le Thé?? I didn't think that tea was masculine, and carrots feminine. 18.gif

justanothersim86 compared to those who speak German, French, Spanish etc who have genders, we're the weird ones3.gif they have them for certain rules which is the same for adjectives and other descriptive thingy majigs (noir(s)/noire(s) for example for black) and from what i've been taught, those who study english have the problem of only one word3.gif i'd also like to point out that english did have the same system like the german language has with the thous, thees and thys etc

Add variety. We say the.. the ..... the .... the... and they say le... les.... la... le....l'.....la... it's more musical.

The real reason, however, I was told once, but forget.

Heh, we have it the simplest, no articles!

No the, a, an, le, la, les, il, lo, la, l', das, die, der, etc.! Nothing! We do however have three genders (like German and English), three grammatical numbers (singular, dual, plural), 6 cases, an infinite amount of dialects, all-in-all, a grammar to make you wish you were never born.

Anyway, gggg, I only know C is S, P is R, and some other basic stuff like that. The way yours is written though, besides the C, I'm stumped..

While many of us, including myself, are happy about our new custom labels that are popping up everywhere, I think consolidating all the 'thank you's' into one thread would keep the forum less cluttered.

If you have a new custom label, use this thread for thank Simtropolis for the gift of custom text. 1.gif

Your Enlightened Ruminant, The_Dalai_Llama. 9.gif

P.S; Please don't turn this into a generic member label thread; Only custom labels, please.

No, I'll also have to track down all the new Icons that go on labels for them as well.
