What game speed do you play?

I usually play in the lower speed (1) and from time to time I switch to the second speed (2). 
I like play slow and take my time to plan everything and also in SimCity 5, I really enjoy only looking my citis and the sims.

I usually start on Turtle, and promote to Rhino later on as the city gets bigger.  I use bursts of Cheetah for something I want in a rush, and sometimes pause if I am doing something complicated, especially with puzzle pieces.

I'm usually in pause when laying puzzle pieces or laying roads, but for the most part I stick to turtle. The other speeds make things change too quickly for my liking.

The majority of the time is spent in Turtle mode. Don't like when things change too much, without my knowledge, on the faster speeds. I rather enjoy watching the city build at it's own pace.

 

Don't even pause during any development/construction. Just like RL, it creates chaos, like detours and traffic jams. I like to 'stir the pot' once in a while...keeps things interesting. Think I only pause when AFKB for a while but not long enough to be worth closing the program. It takes my SC4 a few minutes to load to the city from desktop.

 

I too will Cheetah burst a building's construction time occasionally. Sometimes ya just don't feel like waiting for a Mid/High rise to be completed, especially if it's just to find out you don't even want to keep that particular building, and bulldoze it anyways. Getting to know which buildings are which just by the roof tops reduces the need for the Cheetah burst though. So it is becoming even more increasingly rare to use that speed.

 

Been finding that I tend to use Rhino on city tiles that are just about fully developed (networks and zoning, not density). Since there's no new development in these cities it's mostly just upgrading or re-developing, so I tend to get bored faster than ones with new development and this helps keep the city's Sim Dates within 10 yrs across all the region's city tiles (w/ any development at least)

I usually play on Rhino.  I will do Cheetah if the city is mostly developed and I only want to advance the 'year' to match the rest of the region.

I'm always on the slowest, seldom pause (for pics only) or use cheetah, geeez as a matter of fact.....have I ever used cheetah?

Pause when working, then cheetah when growing. It's hard to be patient when you're growing your city in turtle speed...

Well, if there is a way to cheat in the game it is the use of cheetah mode.  It cheats you out of a lot of the animation because it goes by too fast to notice.  This is a leisure time activity and for full enjoyment should not be rushed.  The nice thing is that if you are pressed for time you can save it and resume later when you have the time to enjoy it.
