Yes, and you'd install it the same way you'd do windows:

  1. Download Project Orion
  2. Extract files
  3. Move files to your SimCityData directory, possibly in your Origin Games\SimCity\SimCityData directory. (Whereever you can find it. I don't know about installing mods in Mac)

FYI, I know this is possible because I know people who installed Orion with a Mac and were successful.

The issue I have been having is finding the right directory!  Is there anyone out there who knows where to find the folder on a mac?

Yeah, it's easy. Go to the applications folder, and right click on the app. Select show package contents. Then I think you go to contents, resources and then you should be able to find the same folders as mentioned in most installation guides.

I'm sorry if these aren't the right, not on my MacBook at the moment. But once you are in the contents of the app it will be easy to find, the other folders won't contain anything of use for you and the correct one will look right instantly. Hope this helps, if you can't find it let me know and I'll look later on today.

It helps if you tell us what exactly isn't working and why you think it should.

Maybe reread the mod installation instructions and reread the online instruction as well as the forum posts on the mod thread.

Also, be aware of all of the other mods you need to install for it to fully fuction.

You can also install the Orion's Belt mod which has all of the mods combined into a single file.  I know it has an auto-installer for windows, but read that it also supports a manual installation for Mac.

I just installed it on my Mac just now, with the Orion's Belt without issue.  Just follow the instructions after you read the whole instructions and read me at least once.  Then it should install without issue.

Be sure to follow these instructions carefully(especially step 1.):

    How to Use Properly
After successfully installing the modpack, you must do four things in order to play.

    • Open a city, savequit the game, and re-open it.
    • Use regional roads outside the 2K plot
    • Understand that all 2K map resources are stretched out into the 4K map by a 2:1 ratio.
    • Understand that All RCIHC Plop will not function unless if you save, quit, and restart the game.

If your install has bexcome corrupt you may need to reinstall simcity.

Are speaking mods in general ? because Orion Project 2k was the only mod mine couldn't read, but if you want to install mods on a mac you go to the game icon, right click to view the menu then select "Show Package Contents" and then from there it would be the same as on windows.
