Has anyone had success changing the game resolution with the Steam version of the game? If so, some instructions on how to change it would be great. Not having any luck with existing instructions in the General Discussion forums.

Steam has a different structure from the regular layout of the system residency.  I suggest you explore it.  I have seen somewhere that they actually have a spot for run-time options.  Why not ask them?

Right-click on the game in the Steam client, go to "Properties".  Go to "Set Launch Options."  This is where you type things like -CustomResolution:Enabled -r1920x1080x32 -CPUCount:1

etc.

^ Thanks.  I knew someone would have this.

After market distributors such as Steam and Origin don't consider other things that have been released by Maxis Studio over the years that rely on the "standard" structure:  The BAT is a glaring example.
