Hey guys and girls,

 

I've been looking through the ST/Exchange for some mods that deal with bug and graphical fixes, but I'm having trouble finding this. Can someone provide me with some links?

 

As a PS, I'm also looking for some mods that enhance the base game - without changing it too drastically. At current I've downloaded the Bridge Height mod, and the Opera House Fix.

First, it will be helpful if you let us know a few things

 

1) What are the specs on your system - CPU, memory, graphic card, etc...

2) What bugs and graphics issues are you having.  Be specific (Note:  This question is better posted in the SC4 Bug and Technical Issues Forum).

3) What version of SC4 do you have and is it fully patched (1.1.640 for CD install and 1.1.641 for download)

4) Have you searched the STEX with the key word 'fix' to see what it brings up.

 

Assuming you have SC4 Deluxe (or Rush Hour expansion pack) and it is fully patched, the NAM mod is a must.  NAM gives you many more transportation network options and also fixes many issues in the default SC4 transportation algorithm.  After that, I would also download the Space Port Fix mod and a terrain slope mod.

As stated, we need to know what you are running.  At last count there were five versions of the game.  The first question must always be which one do you have?

 

Games loaded from CD must be patched to be compatible with most custom content.

 

Games loaded by download from recognized vendors are already fixed.

 

To look for 'fixes' on the STEX search for any mod that has the word 'fix' in its title.  You'll also need the police fix named 'Crime doesnt pay'.  And, of course, the Network Addon Mod (NAM) to fix the transportation system.

 

Other than that, anything else is a matter of personal choice.
