I don't think it was approved to be deleted, either. I didn't get a notice on it, and I worked really hard on it.

I even posted a second thread in the CORRECT forum and linked my post to that thread. Now both threads are missing

It was posted yesterday.

I smell a bad mod or a hacker.

Visit thread to get to my point. This was the thread that was deleted. It's irratating cause I have to retype the whole thing.

It is always important to try starting topics in the appropriate forum. In this way, the people with the best chance of offering suggestions will see it. It is sometimes necessary for topics to be moved. In such cases, there will be a link in the original forum directing one to the new placement. You may also visit your profile where you can find a link to your most recent topics. If you have more specific questions, please feel free to PM me or a moderator of the forum you're interested in.

Agreed... I don't believe any member of the Simtropolis staff would delete a thread if it was in the wrong forum :) they would simply move it.

I smell a bad mod or a hacker.

Threads are only deleted or removed in rare circumstances. An example is for spam, a duplicate topic, or for general admin purposes. They aren't deleted just for the sake of being posted in the wrong section. You may receive a PM from a staff member if a post is moved to another topic. If a topic was accidently deleted, there are methods to restore it.

Moved threads should still have a link in their original forum of posting. Like this: t_moved.png

It is possible that your post may have not got through. Either a user side (your connection) or server side issue may have caused this. Did you notice any change to your post count after submitting the new topic? If not, it wouldn't have been received.

As for a hacking, there'd likely be more than one missing thread if that was the case...

In any case, threads are not deleted but archived to a private section of the database accessible only by staff.  And you would have been advised (admonished?).

Are you sure you didn't just hit the "More Reply Options" or "Preview Post" and accidentally think it was officially posted?

Nobody, especially a mod from a community like SC4 would ever play dirty like that.
