after a much debate on which stadium i would make next (Camp Nou, Parc des Princes, Stadio de Luz, and Wembley), i have finally decided to make thw new Wembley Stadium. why?
-it will be the tallest and largest in the world
-it is designed by Sir Norman Foster
-the pitch will be fitted to hold football, rugby, track and field, and there are discussions with the NFL to bring American Football to Wembley. what this means is that i can make several different pitches to satify your needs as sports fans.

sorry it isn't rendered but when i tried to render, the render was just too small.
also, because of past experiences with large buildings that can't export, i will build this one differently so that i will be able to export parts seperately.

Sounds fantastic! Maybe when you've finished Wembley you could turn your skills to club grounds? I'd personally love to see Carrow Road recreated.......

though i believe that the new Wembley is a good and necessary step forward for English sports (esp football!), i still felt that it would have been nice to have kept the old Wembley Towers.

for me those were a symbol of English football and most importantly the FA Cup. sigh...

thank you all, it is greatly appreciated.

differ, i wish that too. they made an alternative to keep the towers, but it would have been located in the middle of the pitch so it wasn't accepted, and now it is too late. it is sad to see such landmarks be destroyed for the new, but i suppose, as you said, it is neccessary.
just to keep the spirit, i might model those towers so the legend can live on.
as Pele said, it was the church of football.

Isn't Carrow Road a traditional '4 stands' ground, rather than a full stadium? If it is that would fit with the idea I had to use the Maxis pitch and BAT a variety of stands to mix-and-match around it (the way LMA Manager on PS2 works).

    e.g CNNNNC
    WPPPPE
    WPPPPE
    CSSSSC

where P=pitch, C=corner piece (stand or floodlights) N,S,E,W = Stands

As far as club grounds goes Huddersfield's Leeds Road is a good one.

I'm not a fan of the new Wembley, but having seen JEC's previous creations I'm expecting it to be a superb model, so I'll be watching this thread with interest.

Besides, New Wembley will look great in your Norwich CJ ....

    twas the Cathedral of Football!

still your New Wembley looks really good. caught a bit of the topping out ceremony the other day on BBC News and it does look impressive!

on another note, there was a proposal to relocate the Wembley Twin Towers brick by brick but it was scrapped due to the costs involved and New Wembley had already overshot the budget by a bomb...

You're off to a terrific start! I've always thought there weren't enough stadiums in the game...most cities have several, and yet, we only have a limited number to choose from.

    Good work! 44.gif

    thank you all.
well, its been a while. i've been busy with school, nad also trying to fix all the problems i am having with the sims 2 and playing the fm05 (thanks for the link) and fifa05 demos.
anyway, not much of an update, but i didn't want to post with nothing. here's the stadium under the simcity angle:

there are just a few improvements to the roof, and i also made the restaurant which you can't see from this far away.
if i continue to have so many problems with the sims 2, i'll be able to work on this more often; that is of course pending with school work.

    Very nice indeed...

If you're the resident stadium guru, may I suggest Oriole Park at Camden Yards for your next creation?

There are quite a few football and soccer stadiums out there, but a lack of nice major league baseball stadiums...
