That is really archival.  What was the original date of that antique?

However, there is no question that point and click technology clearly won over command line simply because it opened the computing world to the mom and pop user who really don't need to know much as long as they stick to canned applications (if well behaved) and social media.

The problem arises when application software is not well behaved.  Programs that leave junk temporary files around that don't get reused on the next instance of the application are one of the great menaces to users because they clutter up precious disk space.  No matter how big your disk is, with NTFS you eventually start losing entries in the Master File Table (MFT) because it is of fixed size and cannot retain all the fragments of space caused by unruly use of the file system.  Windows 8 reputedly does disk cleanup and defragmentation, but has anyone ever seen this happen?  I really hope so.

And it was a relatively effective ad, unfortunately.  The MAC was really a bust compared to where Apple has gone now.  But those were the days when there were several competing GUI operating systems based either on CPM or DOS.  The results:

1. Windoze

2. OS/X

3. Various flavours of Linux, mostly Gnome/Linux.

Also ran: Tandy.

I edited my choice in the poll, I used Windows 7 but since I bought a new computer I use Win 8.1. It actually works pretty well and the tile interface doesn't bother me. I'm looking forward to Windows 10, because I do agree that Win 8.1 has some oddities. I've been following the development of Win 10 and these are very exciting times! I'm even starting to like Microsoft.

The only thing not to like about Microsoft is the license fees.  Then, of course, there is the monumental slowness to get things developed.
