After update 10.1 in single player mode

My SimCity 5 game updated today-10.1 update. When playing in single player mode, I no longer get the pop ups, challenges anymore. I cant access the guide on any speciality either, anyone else have this issue and is there a fix please? Thank you in advance

Those popups and challenges are online-multiplayer only.

 

In single player mode it is city building only, no challenges or leaderboards or anything else like that since there is no one else to compare the stats to since it is Offline in single player mode.

ive just updated to 10.1 today.  ive only played in single player mode.  any new city i create in an existing region will lag every few seconds.  the cities that existed in the region are not affected interestingly. ive tried restarting the computer as well.  ive checked the task manager and performance stats and there are no other apps running hogging memory or anything.  got 5 gigs free all the time.  any way to undo the update and go back to 10.0?

Nup you can't. They really shot em selves in the foot using origin. If your game gets buggered up you are forced to redownload 2.5gb of updates... my game keeps freezing. I'm nt reinstalling and downloading updates again. Bugger that

So the update that I got today was 10.1? Wasn't that released in May? It told me that a new update was available to me today but there is no mention of it anywhere.

Todays update was 10.2.  If you look at Simcitys exe details you will see it shows 10.2.
