SC4 Mapper MAC

Hey all, this is so frustrating.  So I have a copy of SC4 Mapper in Wine.  However, I cannot get the region to show up in my game.  There is an error every time I try to do so.  Error while saving region - "A problem has occurred while saving the cities files.  Some or all of the cities might not have been saved correctly".  And then nothing in game.

I am using the aspyr app.  How do I link SC4 Mapper to the app so this works?

This has been a giant headache but hopefully you all know how to do so.

You realize you linked a Windows-only download on a Mac thread while patronizing everyone here for not using Google?  Not cool.

Based on other comments in the thread, it does sound like it's going to take a much older version of the Mac OS for this to even work and neither CB nor I are familiar with Macs so we cannot verify what it takes.

Note that the download from that linky is quite slow, but we were able to obtain the 140.5 MB SC4 Mapper.app.zip file. (We will also update the first post in this thread to contain the currently correct download linky.)

By the way, one thing we noticed is this statement is actually incorrect:

This is a common misunderstanding because the folder navigation does not work on Mac systems. However, maps can be rendered in game from grayscale if the entire path to the grayscale image is entered manually. Then the rendering is able to proceed in game as normal, without needing Mapper at all.
