Copy & Paste

How come Copy & Paste doesn't seem to work for me? Also, when I reply, post, send message, etc... when I click on the add link, image, or anything that pops up a box to edit something within the message it locks the message. All I can do afterward is press back on the browser.

 

OS: Windows 8.1 <--- Probably the issue, any fixes?

What browser are you using?  If it is IE, consider using Firefox.

Or consider using google chrome. IE is kinda outdated you know.

You can try to clear browsing data too, I'm using Chrome, and sometimes these bugs appears, I correct them doing it.

I've tried using Chrome. Not sure if the copy & paste thing works on it or not. What I do know is the text is blotchy an looks like ^#$@ so I had to revert back to IE 11. Microsoft has really made it difficult for other companies software to coexist within their OS

I tried chrome.  It is el punko junko.  Just because it has a later date doesn't make it better.  If its not broken, don't fix it.

So just to clarify, can you copy and paste anything on your PC -- such as files and folders?

A quick test would be to open Notepad, type something and see if the text can be successfully copied.

 

If not, it does indicate something is wrong with your Windows clipboard, which browsers and other programs will utilize.

Here is my clarification.... an by all means I'm not trying to sound rude or dog the site but here it is.

 

I can copy & paste anything anywhere anytime but for some reason just not on this site. I can't even copy the text that is right here as I type. Actually let me clarify that some more. I can copy the text but it will not paste on this site. Everywhere else on my computer it works. I don't know what it is but I think it has something to do with how this websites text editor works with whatever settings it is that are on my computer. As I'm sure it's not just windows 8 cause I know others have that an use this site just fine.

That's true but in the end it boils down to the user's preferences. As of for me, Chrome works the best.

Does it work after waiting?  I.e.: copy and immediate paste doesn't work, but the paste will work 5+ seconds later?

 

This issue happened to me when I had ZoneAlarm running on my PC.  There might be a similar conflict happening with the security software you have running on your PC and this site.

 

 

Also, try toggling the BBCode mode to the off setting.  That might also be the source of the conflict.

What browser did you say you were using?  Have you tried a different one?
